^^^
Garcon-deep threat, Saints D might not be rdy yet for rg3 or if Redskins go down early they'll start chucking deep
Cook-just going with name here
Jennings-only true starter, the rest are "iffy" with exception of Brown but dont trust that O against Bears D as they'll probably force Luck to beat them

I like Garcon, Cook, and Jennings. I considered Meachem, but I like Garcon with RGIII. Cook and Jennings are the clear options this week to me.

Yeah I go Ridley in that spot. I think Ridley is going to be a top 10 back this year, at least in non-PPR.

Going with what I know, and I'm not scared off by the Ravens' defense (especially with Suggs out). The Law Firm had 68 and a TD against Baltimore in the playoffs, and averaged 4.5 ypc doing it, so he's not scared of them either. Everyone wants to make Ingram the goal line back, but he's not. I shy away from rookies in week 1, especially if their QB is Gabbert.

Hillis will get work on passing downs, probably goal line work, and the word is that both Charles and Hillis should see 12-15 rushes a game. DHB could be the #1 or #4 guy in receptions. Stevie Johnson has had decent success against Revis, but that offense runs through the RBs. Amendola is no guarantee to be the possession guy with Steve Smith around. Rodgers could well split passing down work with Snelling.

As I said somewhere else, I don't love him, but Garcon is the #1 on a team that will be throwing while they're down.

Jarred Cook vs. Patriots

Hope you went Cook. :)

I reluctantly say Jennings. The Vikes were middle of the road in terms of fantasy points given up to RBs last year (17th in ESPN standard scoring). I will say that if you get a clear sign by Sunday that Dwyer is starting on Monday night, you should consider starting him instead. Brown is also tempting, since he's currently looking like an every down back, but the likelihood of a 31-3 Bears win (or something like that) is just too high to trust him.

ChronicKerr wrote:PPR League:

Neither guy is likely to get many receptions (it's tempting to say Williams, but he's had 65 catches in each of his first two years, or 4 per game). Go Rice, who has the potential (while he's healthy) to give you a home run game against what could be the worst team in football this year. I'm assuming this is your 3rd WR in a fairly deep league, so you should be looking upside.

LApwnd wrote:Blackmon or Ridley @ Flex?

Ridley, not close. However, vc is nuts if he thinks Ridley is going to be a top 10 back. He's got the skill, but he's a tool for Belichek to play with, just like everyone else. The Pats haven't used a bell cow back since Corey Dillon, and have no reason to this year, either.

Sproles is an every week, no brainer start in any PPR format. I'm trying to temper expectations a bit on Jennings. He'll be fine (I did just recommend him for someone else), but MJD is going to be the 3rd down back, so go with Bush just based on expected work load.

I'm not so high on Ridley like that  , I'll go with Ridley still because Blackmon has ankle issues and Minn has good pass rush. But I see spuradic scoring from ridley, Pats abandon running game rather quickly with all their passing threats.

League 1:

Rashad Jenning @ Minn

League 2: need 1 for my flex player
Mike Wallace vs. DEN
Dwayne Bowe vs. ATL
Steven Ridley @ Tenn
Rashad Jenning @ Minn

Jennings. You won't know about Lynch until 4 pm or later, and the Jax-Min game is at 1.

Wallace or Jennings for the flex, and I think I'd still lean Jennings. That said, I'm REALLY not buying the Ridley love, because it feels like everyone's forgotten who coaches that team.

New England runs the ball, especially when they're up big in the 4th, which they should be this Sunday.

It's some common myth they abandon the run, when in fact they run the ball a solid amount and they haven't had a back as talented as Ridley since Corey Dillon.

They certainly aren't Houston or Baltimore, but they aren't the Packers or Lions either.

Ridley should get 240 to 270 carries this year and a couple receptions a game.

Look for him to break 100 total yards and at least 1 TD on Sunday. Tennessee is going to be awful.

As for Jennings or Lynch?

I'd wait for more reports to come out on Lynch. If he's going to play at least a majority of the game, that is the guy to play here. MJD is going to play. Jennings will get the start and probably a majority of carries, but we're probably talking a 70/30 or 60/40 split on about 30 carries. If Lynch is looking at the same situation, I'll take Lynch versus Arizona with 14 or so carries to Jennings versus Minny with 17 or 18 carries. Then again, if Seattle goes up big early, they'll likely limit Lynch even further.

Jennings isn't a bad play either. IDK, but if Lynch is full on starting, go with him, if it's a toss up I think you'll be fine with Jennings.

I was leaning towards Jennings just because I know he isn't injured and will see the majority of the carries, and like you said Seattle might limit Lynch's carries if they have a solid lead. I also have Ben Tate though too, he might be an option this week if Foster's carries are limited b/c of the knee (I also expect them to blow out Miami so if they do, the Texans will probably rest Foster and give Tate a lot of carries).

When it comes to Ridley vs. Wallace - Bowe, I was leaning towards Wallace but now I'm 50-50. You have to figure NE is going to put up a ton of points, and I think Ridley is capable of putting up 70 yards, a reception or 2, and can get a TD with all the points they're going to score.

I don't think there's a myth that NE doesn't run the ball, it's that Belichek is entirely inconsistent game to game. BJGE was a 1000 yard, 10 TD back, but ENTIRELY unreliable. I realize this is stating the obvious, but week to week matters WAY more than year-end figures.

Who would you guys start as your flex?

Beanie Wells or Malcom Floyd?

My RB options are pretty terrible right now I'm locked into the following 5 players as starters:

RB1: Darren Sproles
RB2: Michael Bush
WR1: Calvin Johnson
WR2: Percy Harvin
TE: Rob Gronkowski

My other RB/WR flex options are: Tolbert (nope), Royster (Shanahan lol), Ryan Williams (Arizona, more of a wait and see candidate)...

Yeah I'm f'ed...

I'd be more willing to start Ryan Williams over Beanie Wells (who's listed as Questionable on Friday's injury report). I think you roll with Floyd. At least you know the potential is there for a monster game, since SD will be throwing a ton (Ronnie Brown sucks, and they'll quickly find that they'll have to work without a ground game).

I'm in my own dilemma. I have some time to decide, but here are my three flex options:
Decker (v. PIT)
Dwyer (@DEN)
Turbin (@ARI)

Right now, Decker is the clear start. However, does Turbin jump ahead if Lynch is out? I think yes, because Seattle's run game is largely centered around what their O-line does and Turbin is similar to Lynch. If Turbin doesn't get the start, then the question is what to do if Dwyer is going to get the work load. I think he's going to take the starting gig, and Denver has a terrible run defense, so it's at least tempting to take him over a guy going against the best pass D in the league last year.

With Peyton's arm and Decker's big play ability I feel like Decker is going to be a solid play every week. There were times last year when Decker would break free but Tebow just couldn't get him the ball.

I'm not too familiar with Dwyer or Turbin so I can't really help you, but I'm pretty bummed that Decker went a few picks before I was going to take him in my league
