Much to like here.

Thanks

I thought about taking a D in round 8-10, but as this being a paid league, I figured not to waste one on that, and just plan it weekly. I plan to do that..

Also plan to pick up a 2nd QB via the players list.

The only thing I might have done wrong is pick Matt Ryan in the 5th round, because Russell Wilson actually fell to the 9th round and was snagged there by someone else. As much as I like Ryan and think he'll have another solid season, I would have picked someone else if I knew I could get Wilson that late.

Some guy in my league has Foster, MJD (who he stole in the 4th round), Lacy, Lamar Miller, and Gio Bernard as his RB trio. I'm thinking of trying to center a deal to get one of his bench RB's. Also, he took Julius Thomas in the last round of the draft, and a few picks before me. I was gonna take him there :(

D: Broncos/Dolphins (Fins gunna have sick D)

Bench

QB: Dude from Tampa, name slipping. Solid Qb Josh Freeman
HB: Lamar Miller/Fred Davis/Danny Woodhead/Knowshaun Marino
WR: TY Hilton/Mike Williams/Andre Roberts

I have a sick Recieving core. 1HB/2Wr/1 flex

I'm a dolphins fan and think Lamar is going to light it up this year. Got him in the 4th round and I was lucky. Kapernick was the QB I was targeting and got him 5th round.

I was going to pick Mike Williams over TY Hilton, but he shared a bye week with a starter. Then he dropped to me in the next round and took him on value alone.

Rate my draft. 8th pick 14 person league. Ppr.

Thoughts on my team? I may drop a HB for a second TE. Fleener is somone I might snatch up if he has a good first week. That dude from the Colts looks like a good option as well if he hasn't bee. Snagged already.

Not bad, first thing I'd do is drop Freeman and snag Helu to handcuff Alf, if he's still sitting on the waiver wire.

I like Miller as a flex play...very much, and I think the Dolphins will be much improved this year. The D will be very good, but they also have a pretty tough schedule, so tying up a roster spot for them is a gamble. Knowshon...the jury is still out, I feel Ball will eventually be the starter.

Moreno will maybe be cur, but he's currently the stated which is why I picked him up.

I like having 2 defenses to switch things up based on matchups and can always drop one.

I just dropped Woodhead for That TE on the Broncos. He could be my new starter. Maybe I should drop Moreno instead? Idk how much burn Woody will get and Moreno is a starter.

Helu?

I'm not worried about the tough schedule, Dolphins D is going to be nasty this year. Go them with my 16 pick and I have so many Bench spots its not a big deal.

I like Freeman and he should put up nice stats this year. I need a good QB in case of injury. Not gunna drop him.

I think I put together a pretty damn good team despite being the 8th pick in a 14 team league.

Freeman should hopefully be good, but I'd try to find a more consistent 2nd QB. Any noteworthy QB's on the free agent players list?

Locker
Weeden
Gabbart
Geno Smith

So... No. Remember its a 14 person league. I almost took Tannehill over him, but I didn't wanna be too much of a homer. And the Bucs have great receivers and I have both Jackson and Williams lol.

I think Freeman is going to have a breakout year too.

Not that I would actually add him, but I think Weeden is gonna have a surprisingly good fantasy season...he's a good QB in the making with a weak team around him.

@NYKinMIA I was leaning toward WR in the flex myself but wanted a second opinion...Two RB's both facing tough defenses.

My draft was bizarre...QB's and WR's were grabbed heavily early on so I had to spring and my bench came out pretty weak.

I would definitely try and move Vick especially if you can sell high... Newton is going to be interesting because once the coaching staff in Carolina simplified the playbook for him he started coming on.

Bell is slotted at the 3rd running back even though he outplayed Leshoure in the preseason...

Ivory you need to be patient with.

What I did in both of my leagues was add Julius Thomas from Denver before last nights game... if you lose your first game and he's available I would jump on him and you can probably move either him or Gonzo for more help.

And DHB might be a gem because of Luck and he's starting this weekend... I would probably flex DHB over Mendenhall because Arizona is on the road against St. Louis.

Agreed heavily with ibraheim.

Flex DHB. The fact that DHB will also be going up against his old team should also be incentive enough to start him.

Just did another paid league draft. Someone rate my draft:

QB: Robert Griffin iii (Almost had Kapernick fall to me in the 7th round, settled for RG3). Hope his ACL injury is behind him because what worries me is his rushing ability. He may not be all the way back in that category and the coaching staff might reign him in in terms of running right now.
WR: Demayrius Thomas
WR: Marques Colston
WR: Torrey Smith
RB: CJ Spiller
RB: Maurice Jones Drew
TE: Jason Witten
K: Matt Prater
D/ST: New England (Will probably end up trying to alternate this weekly)

Bench:
RB: Ryan Matthews
WR: Desean Jackson
RB: Deangelo Williams
TE: Zach Sudfeld
WR: Alshon Jeffery
TE: Brandon Myers

Idk... I kinda disagree. I just don't see him developing as a better QB then Freeman. Freeman really impresses me the few times I watches him last year. Weeden looked the worse out of all the rookies last year, and he is a few years older then all of them. He has the least time/room for improvement because of his age.

I'm happy with Freeman as my backup.

Freeman just got his captaincy revoked and is basically a lame duck QB...Nothing scarier than a qb whose teammates don't believe in him.

Weeden looked better than Tannehill but worse than the big three rookies, but bare in mind that rookie QB's don't usually play that high a level of ball and also both Wilson and RG3 got a big benefit from using systems that NFL defenses weren't really prepared for. Weeden will develop on a more traditional scale than his brethren but I think he's gonna be pretty good some day. The main reason I wouldn't add him this season is because he faces a lot of tough defenses, but I think against the weaker half of his schedule he'll string some nice performances together. Note, I'm not talking starter quality, but for a back-up I think he'll have a mix of good and bad which is really all you got from Freeman last season (half a season great, half a season bad).

I think I put together a pretty damn good team despite being the 8th pick in a 14 team league.

I think every Alf Morris owner should have Helu on his bench. Alf took a pounding last year as a rook, and if he happens to miss a few games, Helu is very talented, and will step in and not miss a beat. I even have Helu rostered in this free league, as a lotto ticket. 8-)

We'll have to disagree on, Freeman. This is his 5th year, there's enough tape for me to see that he's talented and has the physical tools, but he makes some poor decisions at the wrong time. He's also playing for a guy that didn't draft him, and re-made TB into a power running team with "his guy" in, Martin. I highly doubt Freeman is on that team next year. Freeman will have some good games, but overall he's fantasy irrelevant, imo. Generally, if your QB1 goes down, your probably screwed anyway, I'd just stream QB's according to matchups on a weekly basis.

Remember, these are my thoughts and opinions. It's cool to disagree, good luck man.

I disagree. Weeden threw 17 interceptions. Tannehill was more accurate and had more passes dropped then any other QB in the league (I think I remember reading that somewhere) but take it from somebody that watched 15/16 dolphins games last year... He had a ton of dropped passes, he had no playmakers who could get YACs or TDs, he had at least 4-5 td passes dropped. Also 3-4 of his interceptions were due to balls not being caught by his receivers.

Tannehill is going to have a great season this year, sucks Keller went down.

Couldn't pass up on the value of Sudfeld in the round I got him at, and decided to get Myers with my last pick. Why Fred Jackson in particular? He's out there currently.
