whats the best way to go on standard leagues?

draft 2 rbs first, then go after wr and qb...or what do you think is the way to draft in general terms?

All depends on what pick you have, how many teams there are and who's available.

The RB, RB in the first two rounds strategy is crazy dated though, I don't believe in it unless the circumstances force your hand.

That used to be the way to go, but the Fantasy game has changed because almost every team is RB by committee now. I usually draft with the "best person available" strategy. Just don't reach for a TE early because there are a lot of good ones. Also, if you get one of the top 7 QB's you should be set too. DON"T draft a kicker until the last round.

I think going RB/RB isn't all bad if you can get 2 guys that don't have serious competition, but that's not easy to come by. It also depends on your league like was said before.

If your doing a PPR league you might want to even go WR/WR, or if you get alot of points for touchdowns you may want to get a QB earlier than most.

This season I drafted best player available. Worked great for me. I did: WR,RB,QB,TE,RB,WR and landed the best WR, a top 6 QB, a #1 RB and a top 3 TE. Last year I missed the playoffs for the first time in 4 years with my yearly league and I had drafted WR heavy with 3 in the first 5 rounds. I've never been a big fan of the RB/RB draft especially this year with all the RBBC. As long as you get at least 1 solid #1 back, you should be fine. I'm only in a 10 team league though, so obviously I'll land players later than 12+ team leagues.

I was caught in the moment with Clark. Should have waited later for a TE and even told myself that before the draft, but everything else I think I did ok.

Agree with you on the Clark pick, definitely should have waited, especially in a 10 team league, but a solid overall draft.

I hate the Jacobs pick, have to think there was much better available at that point, Sims-Walker seems like you reached early, but he could certainly blow up this season.

Don't like Lee Evans much at all this year, or any year really, Buffalo is horrendous.

Hardesty could become the lead back, but we'll see if it's not an almost 50/50 time share with Harrison, but at that point in the draft I like it, nice upside pick.

Portis could be a steal. Sure he had a horrid season last year and he has a lot of miles on him, but he's only going to be 29 and McNabb and a better line should open things up for him.

Pierre Thomas I like a lot with Mike Bell gone and one of their other running backs hurt, but Sean Payton will find a way to aggravate all us fantasy players, lol.

Schaub I think is very, very talented, but he's made of glass.

Favre was good value where you got him for sure, but I still think he's in for a long season.

Andre Johnson, there's a lot to like. He's a stud.

Like Mendenhall a lot this year as well. Pittsburgh and Tomlin will probably run him into the ground and I think he'll get at least 35 receptions this year, but I', banking on about 50. The problem with him is, without Berger and the fact their defense is very mediocre when Polamalu is out, they might fall behind early a lot, meaning they'll abandon the run a number of games this year.

I like Santana Moss this year, especially where he is usually ADP at, but can McNabb stay healthy?

What pick did you have overall?

I did RB/RB, I was last pick in a 6 team league, although 2nd RB (turner) wasn't bpa (P. Manning/Rodgers) still on board, I managed to use Turner/Romo to get AP/McNabb, so I have 2 solid RB in Rice/AP.
