WR Help Please

Post#1 » by Shady Franchise » Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:43 pm

Hey guys,

10 team league, 6pts td, 1pt 15 yrds receiving. Start 3 Wr's

My team:

QB:Schaub/Favre
RB:Mendenhall/P Thomas/Jacobs/Portis/Hardesty
WR: Andre Johnson/Sims-Walker/S Moss/ L Evans/S Holmes
TE: Clark
K: Akers
DST: Steelers

With Holmes suspended for 4 games I moved him to my IR and have room to pickup a free agent WR. The top free agents are:
Manninham
Massaquoi
Devin Thomas

Cribbs
*javone walker (s rice out for half a season)

Who should I pickup?

Thanks guys. i went through most of the waiver wire and found some more notable free agents.

Nate Washington
Nate Burleson
Avery
Jacoby Jones
Deon Branch
Schilens
Laurent Robinson
Heyward Bey

Looks like I'll stick with Massequoi though.

Any of these FA Backs better than Hardesty?

I also like Jacoby Jones a lot and Nate Burelson could be in for a pretty big season.
Avery could blow up a little something this year as well.
All of them and Massaquoi are very good options.
I think I like Jones the best out of all of them, but it is yet to be seen whether he puts up really good numbers or wins the battle with Walter.

Mike Bell, Fred T and Leon Washington could all end up being decent options. LeSean McCoy still has a lot to prove in Philly and a solid vet like Bell could be called upon if he slips up. Laurence Maroney never seems to stay healthy and seems to be in and out of BB's doghouse, so Fred T might end up being the guy in NE if healthy. Leon Washington looked very good in his preseason debut last week and Forsett doesn't seem to have a strong hold on the starting spot in Seattle.
