Post#1 » by Shady Franchise » Tue Sep 7, 2010 7:10 pm

Should I start:

Pierre Thomas Vs Min. or Brandon Jacobs vs Car. as my #2back?

Santana Moss vs Dal or Lee Evans vs Mia as my #3 wr?

I'd choose Pierre Thomas and Santana Moss if McNabb plays

Flex Player Non-PPR

Lee Evans @Miami, Jahvid Best @CHI, Sims-Walker vs. DEN, Bradshaw vs. CAR

Im starting Gore and McCoy at RB...if I started a WR at flex would u play best over McCoy?

sorry OP if hi-jacking, I like some suggestion as well for my starters

Charles or Foster as the flex?

QB-my league has 2 starters, Stafford is one, need to chose between Flacco or Cutler? , obvious choice is flacco but he is going against one of the best corners in the league and I see that game as being low scoring. Do I drop Cutler and pickup someone like Orton, playing against Jags, their corners do seem all that impressive.

I'd do Thomas/Evans, per some analyst I read Mia corners are iffy, McNabb is just coming off injury and Dall is quite good at pass rush I'm not sure if his Oline can give him enough time to throw it well.

Go with Cutler, sit Flacco this week

charles a the flex

start cutler. I don't think Flacco is the Obvious choice this week.

Thanks. I actually am afraid of what Mcnabb will do week 1. Dallas has great D too. Glad P Thomas is the unquestioned pick @ rb so far too.

Agree with Basics. PT Cruiser and Moss.

Best in a runaway. I wouldn't sit Shady for any of those other options either. Just start Best in your flex and forget about it until next week.

Who are you other options at RB that you have the luxury of Charles or Foster?
Both of those guys are pretty much every week plug and plays, matchup be damned, IMO.

And as much as I loathe Cutler and am high on Flacco, I think you have to go Cutler. He's playing the Lions and Flacco is playing against one of the best defenses in the league.

What are your other long term options at backup QB on the waiver wire though?

This one is tough.
Think I'm going to have to agree with Blue and go with Spiller. His big play ability and speed is pretty sick and I don't think they'll get run over so he should get a lot of touches.

I would go with Portis honestly, but... Washington may very well fall behind early and never get to establish the run and it would be nice to get one game to see how Portis will bounce back from last year's debacle and how he fits with McNabb and Shanahan.

Bush is an afterthought given the matchup, but the funniest part is he's in there too.

I still have to go with Spiller, but I don't see a ton of upside with any of these guys this week given their bad matchups based off last season.

Start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex. Pretty sure my 2 RB and flex will be Greene (Bal), Turner (@Pit), Best (@Chi). Now, what about my 2 WR?

Steve Smith (@NYG), Bowe (SD), Welker (CIN), Maclin (GB), Murphy (@TEN), Mike X. Williams (SF)

I'm pretty sure it's the first two, since Welker's knee is still a little iffy and GB has a decent pass defense. Louis is just a little bit tempting considering the Titans had the worst pass defense in the league last year, but I don't think I can start him over either Smith or Bowe right?

I'd go the first two as well. Welker mentioned a couple days ago that he still wasn't 100%. I think its going to take at least a couple weeks before he gets the confidence back in his knee. I'd be careful with him for now. I could see something like 6 catches for 60 yards from Welker but Smith and Bowe both have a much better chance of getting a TD.

Non-PPR:
Mike Wallace (ATL) or Malcolm Floyd (@KC) for my 2nd WR spot
and
Bradshaw (CAR) or Hightower (@STL) for my flex

and then for a .5 PPR league I have to decide for my WR2 spot:
Mike Wallace (ATL) or Sims-Walker (DEN) or Berrian (@NO) or Collie (@HOU)

Good to see these threads back.

Just wanted to add that as a Titans fan, don't expect the Titans' pass D to be as bad this year. Last year's debacle was more about injuries then anything else. Plus they stepped it up later in the season.
