Trade Help (again): Palmer + Williams for Rodgers + Portis?

the deal would be:

Carson Palmer + Deangelo Williams + Dexter Mccluster

for

Aaron Rodgers + Clinton Portis + Nate Burelson

id get Rodgers and i already have Jennings too. My Rbs would take a hit though.

QB: Rodgers / Farve
RB: Peterson / Portis / Slaton
WR: Jennings / Boldin / Marshall / Holmes / Britt / Burelson
TE: Shinaco / Miller
K: Longwell
DST: 49ers / Chargers

id obviously need to trade a WR like Holmes/Britt/Burelson and get another RB. Should i do the deal though? Ive been trying to get a QB forever and i just cant, there so hard to acquire and Deangelo splits with Stewart anyways.

Palmer can score as much as Rodgers from time to time obviuosly, so why do you need to downgrade your RB?

I would do it. Is the drop off from Williams to Portis really that big anymore? And it's not like McCluster is going to contribute anything this year. Take Rodgers and run with him. You need running back help with or without the trade, so you might as well upgrade to the best QB in fantasy in the mean time.

I agree. To me, Palmer+Deangelo in your starting lineup will get you more points than Rodgers+Portis. Deangelo is still the #1 back on a team that runs runs runs. I don't think you'd get a very good back in return for Holmes Britt or Burleson.

This trade is an absolute slam dunk for the OP.

If you pull this one off and this is a money league I demand in next season.
