Buy Low / Sell High Canditates

Anyone standing out as buy low or sell high canditates at this point in the season?

Cliff Levingston has Marques Colston and MJD in one league and is attempting to jettison both. Colston, for some reason, barely ever lines up outside anymore and Brees just doesn't look his way anymore. Maybe you could consider him a buy low.

Every year, one of the top 5 backs end up being really, really bad. Last year it was Forte, this year, it's Jones-Drew. He's got a nagging injury which is sapping his explosiveness (a la Forte last year) and his QB just keeps getting worse. You could consider him a buy low, but Cliff Levingston is attempting to package these two together for a back Cliff Levingston can rely on. Two proposed deals out there:

MJD/Colston for Foster/Mike Wallace. This guy has Calvin Johnson and Jennings already so he doesn't really need Colston.
MJD/Colston for Mendenhall. His receivers are Welker, Driver and Bowe, while also having Steven Jackson and Pierre Thomas, so Cliff Levingston is hoping hard for this one.

MJD/Colston for McFadden/Maclin already got turned down.

I have to say I'm disappointed in Rice myself, he was my #1 pick, guy hasn't reaced 100yrds or gotten a TD yet and I highly doubt he gets either this Sun against Pitt.

**** you Fox.
**** you Moore.
**** you Clausen.

I'm a DeAngelo owner and I'd consider him a pretty good buy low candidate if you think the QB situation will magically be fixed in Carolina. I'm trying to jettiston him in my league personally but its hard to find takers when the guy hasn't even had one good game.

Also, I'd sell Best asap. He's going to get hurt at some point and at the end of the day he still is a rookie. He could have some monster games but Detroit is running him into the ground and its already showing.

The last thing you should be worried about for a rookie is being run into the ground. Best does have injury history though and that turf toe could linger.

Still, he had 14 carries in week 1, 17 in week 2 and was on pace for 14 (for the most part) last week. That's not a ton of carries although he does play passing downs.

To Cliff Levingston, he's a nice player to have. One of the true every down backs in the league and he's explosive in both the running game and passing game. If he can stay healthy, he has top 10 potential.

Any thoughts on Beanie Wells or Colston as buy low candidates?

I wouldn't touch Wells. IMO Colston has value only as a #3/ Flex. That offense is too unpredictable.

Got in on the ground floor on Lynch instead (traded TB's Mike Williams for him).

Steve Johnson for Buffalo seems like a good sell high.

Really? I don't think you'll get anything for him. He's still available in a ton of leagues, actually. I think he's a guy who can put up points for you but no one else in your league will want to give anything up for.

If you've got a stacked team and a free roster spot, I'd consider trading for Austin Collie. He's only going to be out a couple games, and when he comes back he's getting the Clark underneath routes. If the current owner is panicking and you can make an offer that gives him a player to use the next 2-3 weeks and sets you up for the end of the season and playoffs, I'd consider it.

You can probably get any Cowboys offense player on the cheap now. Not sure I'd recommend it with Kitna in there though.

I have Dez Bryant and have thought about dealing him all season. If he can't get a return TD, it's a toss up of whether you're getting any points. I usually bench him but I had to play him this week with Reggie Wayne on bye.

I'm leaning towards Mendenhall as a sell high. I have McFadden, Torian, and Hillis. I only play two RB's a week and our league doesn't have a flex. I should still be able to sell him high and I really need a WR and TE.

I have Witten, and let me tell you that anyone coming to me asking for him at a discounted price has another think coming. With Kitna it, Witten turned into his safety valve. Romo looked for Austin, Kitna looks for Witten.

Kitna turned to Witten and Bryant. I didn't realize Bryant was second in receptions. Roy Williams didn't catch a single pass (did he even play tonight?). Plus, it looks like Romo is probably out for the season.
