At least you only have to watch one game to keep track of your QB situation.

For some reason, I think Detroit's Defense is going to take a big step forward, so I'd lean Stafford, but you should be alright with either one

2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex

RB - Turner (@Chi), Greene (Dal), Law Firm (@Mia), Lynch (@SF)
WR - Maclin (@StL), Colston (@GB), Boldin (Pit), M. Thomas (Ten)

Leaning Turner, Greene, Law Firm, Colston, Boldin.

Which Defense?

HOU D vs IND

KC D vs BUF

Stafford. He's probably going to throw it 40 times while Freeman may only throw it 25 to 30 times. Detroit's O has more potential to explode in this game as well.

I agree with your picks. Turner's probably going to have some ugly YPC numbers in that game but he's likely to get a TD so he's a safe start. Dallas' D is still looking sketchy so I like the Greene start and Law Firm is another guy who's a pretty safe bet for a TD.

Colston and Boldin is easy. I'd stay away from starting Maclin for a few weeks until he gets back up to speed.

KC.

The Chiefs' D is better and facing a worse offense and Arrowhead should be bumpin. KC's a tough place to play week 1. I still think IND will be respectable without Peyton (tons of receiving talent and Collins isn't a complete scrub). You can't really go wrong with either though, I think they're both solid plays.

Now for mine:

I gambled on Collie as my WR2. I just traded M. Wallace and Freeman for Romo and Daniels in a 6 point per passing TD league. It looked good originally as I figured if Collie does 80% of what he did before going down last year I'd have a heck of a team. But obviously with Peyton's neck acting up I'm in a bit of a pickle.

.5 PPR

Collie @ Houston
Burelson @ TB (he had some nice pre-season games)

Greg Little, Anthony Armstrong, Earl Bennet, Harry Douglas, Hines Ward, and Brand Gibson are all on the wire.

I don't know that I could trust Collie, but I understand being hesitant about Burleson.

Things working against Collie (all caused by the obvious): 1) Expect Joseph to shadow Wayne, meaning he'll see fewer double teams than he would have in the past, 2) Clark and the RBs will get more of the "safety blanket" looks. A possible plus/possible minus -- Ryan will blitz the hell out of Collins. This could mean Collie sees more looks underneath, but with the state of Indy's line, I'd be worried that Collins just ends up on his back and (as above) the close looks all go to Clark, Addai and maybe Carter.

Things working against Burleson: 1) He's Nate Burleson.

None of the waiver wire players excite me. I'd roll the dice on Burleson and hope that Stafford looks his way for a TD.

Oh yeah, I have a defense question too. I tend to stream defenses, but I drafted New England who I expect to be an excellent fantasy defense this year (aggressive, will cause turnovers, have a few players with TD potential). They get Miami on the road on Monday night, which is nice if you believe Henne won't improve from last year. I could drop them, however, for one of the following options:

1) Browns at home against the Bengals (Dalton is terrible, but it was an average D which lost Ryan as coordinator)

2) Cardinals at home against Carolina (Newton will give up turnovers, but against, it's an average D at best)

3) Chiefs at home against the Bills (I actually think this game ends up closer than we think, but I really don't believe in KC this year).

Anyone planning on starting Mike Thomas can go ahead and sit him. This Garrard news ain't great for Marcedes Lewis owners, either.

Dont drop them, play the NE defense w/o question.

They're all good options. I'm personally rolling with the Browns this week. I might just stream against Dalton all year. However, I'd go NE. Its week 1, play it safe.

anyone trust Packers D against Saints? read on another forum that it best to sit them, alternative for me would be SF D vs. Sea, I think sea stinks and SF could do a respectable job, could be low scoring gm to boot.

I'd go SF. Its Jackson vs. Brees. Brees threw a bunch of picks last year but that was an anomaly. NO's o-line is solid so I doubt GB racks up the sacks. Tavaris is Tavaris.

I could go either way with this one, but I'm going to say definitely Stafford, I think they're going to come out all guns blazing and this game turns into a mini shootout at first.

Houston for sure as long as Peyton's out.

Hmm...

Collie only if Peyton is healthy, if not Burleson.

All of those but the Chiefs are really good options as well but I think you're fine with New England.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with NE or the first 2.

I would go with San Fran on this one, I think the team as a whole will surprise some people this year even though they'll still miss the playoffs.

Seattle is unbelievably awful this year.

Wide Reciever question: My first 2 slots I got Calvin Johnson and Mike williams (TB), the 3rd slot I sorta have a platoon going on here. Dez Bryant, Johnny Knox, Bernard Berrian.

I would think that for now Bryant would be the shoe-in for this one, but I believe hes going up against Revis this week. Im a huge Bears fan and believe that Know will be Cutlers #1 option, but their O-line is even worse than last year so who knows how many quality throws he'll even get off?? People are probably wondering why is Berrian in the mix? Because him and Mcnabb are good buddys and Mcnabb looks for him alot, atleast if the preseason has told us anything he will.

Needless to say I need some help with this one. Any advice is appreciated

I've used week one as a tune up week in the past. I'd take my chances and go with Bryant.

Platoon? Bryant is easily the best player for the 3rd WR spot. He is going to be more consistent and has the most potential of the three.

Flex spot (1 ppr): Pierre Thomas, Lance Moore, LaDanian Tomlinson, Devon Bess.

I planned on playing Moore when he was healthy, but am looking at Thomas now.
