Need more details on how the keeper stuff works in your league, that could greatly impact what side I choose.

4-6 keepers (max 3 per position) and a full IDP roster (2 DL 2 DB 2 LB 2 Defensive Players) (and it's a PPR league)

I may try to throw in a linebacker and upgrade Bush to peterson.

Still could use some more information: Are players kept based on a round they were drafted or are the first 4-6 picks keepers? Your roster would help too. As would your line up settings and league size.

I just want to get all the important information before I let you know what I think. I'm leaning towards thinking this isn't enough, but some of that information could impact my opinion.

4-6 keepers taking the spot of the 4-6 picks. 12 man league (LONNNG draft)... 28 players per team

Lineup:
QB: Brees
QB: Vick
RB: Reggie Bush
RB: Pierre Thomas
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Steve Smith
TE: Jason Witten
Flex: Steve Johnson

LB: James Laurinatis
LB: Nick Barnett
DL: Kyle Williams
DL: Brandon Mebane
DB: Bernard Pollard
DB: Antoine Bethea
DP: London Fletcher
DP: Eric Weddle

K: Shaun Suisham

Bench:
Tim Tebow (QB)
LeGarrette Blount (RB)
Cameron Jordan (DE)
DeMeco Ryans (LB)
Ahtba Rubin (DT)
Brandon Spikes (LB)
Nate Washington (WR)
Brent Celek (TE)
Von Miller (LB)
Kevin Ogletree (WR)
Ronnie Brown (RB)

I told the guy I'm trading with that if he wants Johnson, I want LeSean McCoy and Nelson (steep asking price, I know)... CJ, Brees and Laurinaitis are the only keeper worthy players on my team so I'm not giving them up easily.

I think that's a much better trade, and one that I would probably do.

I'm an advocate of making sure you take some sucker to the cleaners if you are going to part with a mega star like CJ. So not sure what RB you have to give up if you get McCoy in the deal. Just make sure you get a helluva deal and prod every team on what they will give you for CJ before you pull the trigger. Somebody might raise their hand and make a really stupid deal. The name of the game is to find the biggest sucker for your biggest trade-worthy chips.

Long story short, I asked for more (in the form of picks) and he hesitated (I wanted Bowe/Mccoy + Second Rounder for CJ/Ronnie Brown)... a few days later he wanted to do Bowe/Mccoy for Johnson/london fletcher (or jordy nelson/mccoy for johnson/fletcher) and I turned it down. mccoy's numbers aren't consistent enough and while CJ is having a down year, he's still doing better.
