Shane Vereen's Value

Post#1 » by Shady Franchise » Wed Sep 4, 2013 8:36 pm

I have great RB depth: Spiller, Sjax, R Bush, L Miller, Vereen and I need some WR depth. We start 3 and I have AJ Green, Cruz, Mike Williams, Vincent Brown.

Is Gordon, TY Hilton or Kembrell Thompkins fair value for Vereen?

Thanks

Vareen has good upside only if something happens to Ridley, until then he's probably not going to be anything more than a third down back (similar to what Faulk was a couple years back). I heard his usage would be a lot higher this season because of the injuries to Gronk and the whole Hernandez situation but I'm not sure if that's actually going to happen.

Anyway, if you can get TY Hilton for him straight up I say you pull the trigger. Dude was really impressive in preseason. I think he has a legitimate shot to outscore Reggie Wayne this year.

So who would you start as a flex in a standard league? Vereen, D Richardson, Gio Bernard?

...Oh and thanks for the comment!
