Waiver Pick Up?

Post#1 » by Jake0890 » Thu Sep 12, 2013 12:06 am

Just looking for a little help deciding on who to pick up off of waivers.

So the one idiot in my league decided to drop a ton of good players. He dropped Chris Johnson, James Jones, 49ers D, Steve Smith (CAR), and Sidney Rice.

My lineup is:
Spoiler:
QB: Aaron Rodgers
QB: Tony Romo
RB: LeSean McCoy
RB: Steven Jackson
WR: Roddy White
WR: Vincent Jackson
TE: Greg Olsen
FLEX: Reggie Wayne
D/ST: Patriots

Bench
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR: Jordy Nelson
RB: Chris Ivory
RB: Montee Ball
QB: Jay Cutler

So some questions:
1. Do I drop Montee Ball or Chris Ivory to get Chris Johnson? Leaning towards Ivory.
2. Dwayne Bowe totally flopped last week while Steve Smith had 11 points on 51 yds and a touchdown.
3. San Francisco's D is better than the Pats'... Right? They only got 4 points last week while New England had 8.
4. James Jones is there too... as is Sidney Rice.. hmm.

So anyways, any help would be appreciated.

I would drop Montee Ball , Looks like Knowshon will get the touches, but looks like Manning has his priorities at Thomas and Walker. 1 goes for a slant or 1 goes for a long bomber, or he hits his TE. Look how much broncos gave points off in the first game on the running game.. less than 10.. because Knowshon only gave me 5 points and Manning threw for 7, so why keep any RB on the Broncos lol.

Bowe flopped against a crap team. Im sure he and Smith will connect sooner or later.

I would get SF's D over NE.

no comment on Rice and Jones.

I would drop Ivory for Johnson. Hang onto Ball until at least week 8 or something.

Drop Ivory for CJ
Drop Cutler for Smith
Never invite this owner back into a league because he's a dumbass.

Also, looking at your roster -- are you in an 8 team league?

Yeah, 8 team. But I dunno about dropping Cutler for Smith. Cutler is the only backup QB I have, not to mention being overloaded at WR, and Tony Romo is already injured.
