Kevin Jones question

I drafted him with the last pick in my draft and was wondering if I should put him on my teams IR for a $2 fee and pick up another reserve player for another $2, or will KJ be ready to play when the season starts and I should keep him as a reserve?

He will most likely not start the season as the starter in Detroit, he's yet to really practice. No contact drill or anything, but there are talks that he may be ready before the middle of the season that was the early thought as to when he would return. I would put him on IR and pick up another RB. The biggest problem I see with Jones right now is a confidence problem, the question is can he get over that or will it ruin his career.
