I pulled a very risky trade...

I traded

Willie Parker
Jerricho Cotchery
Brett Farve

for

Drew Brees
Lee Evans
Ronnie Brown

Forget the rest of my team, is the risk/reward big enough for this move?

Unless Brees plays like he does last year or better, and Lee Evans, ya know, picks up his second fantasy point, then no.

Risky... but I would have kept the guys you had. So far, Parker has been a lot better then Brown, Favre a lot better then Drew Brees, and Cotchery a lot better then Evans.

i would have kept the guys that are producing so far like farve and parker. It also depends on your record. If you're 2-0 then trade and hope those guys pick it up, if you are losing then i would keep the guys that are making points

risky. drew brees has been crap so far, ronnie brown too. i don't even know if lee evans will recover with the things going on in buffalo... plus, the bills have the toughest schedule in the nation so that won't help either.

i would have kept your current players. i don't know if those players you traded for will ever recover. maybe drew brees will but i don't know about the other two.

Ronnie Brown would have been the deal breaker for me.

I don't like the trade.

Interesting. Can't say that I would have pulled the trigger on that one. I can't see what you were trying to accomplish with this deal.

I'd kill to have Willie Parker in any of my leagues so I'd definitely take him over Ronnie Brown. Favre could revert back to the heaving interception machine he was last year at any time but there isn't anything to make me think that Brees is going to be any better. Lee Evans should be better than Cotchery but all of that depends on Losman, who almost looks like he's regressed this year.

I don't think it's a terrible trade...you were obviously looking to get Brees and Evans on the cheap because they've struggled. Ronnie Brown hasn't been that bad, but Parker has been awesome.

The risk/reward is there I think...

So here is a little update. Parker continues to get no touchdowns, killing him a lot in leagues. Ronnie Brown is now the best running back in fantasy. Evans finally showed a pulse, Cotchery still has yet to score a touchdown. Brees is coming off a bye week in where I hope he can come through. Farve has been nothing short of amazing.

Here is the reason why I pulled the trade.

I had Hasselbeck and Leinart on the bench, so Farve was expandable.
I had Rudi Johnson, Thomas Jones and DeAngelo Williams on the bench. Parker was killing me getting no touchdowns.
I had Braylon Edwards, Roy Williams, Wes Welker and Ronald Curry on the team as well.

So heading now I really like the feel of my team.

Depends on how your league is set up. If you get any bonus points for receptions, Ronnie Brown is pretty good. He is always good for 5-6 a game.
