Trade LJ?

Post#1 » by N4S » Mon Oct 8, 2007 9:47 pm

Hi guys, excited to post about fantasy over here cause this is probably the best place for advice.

I'm a first yr fantasy player and pick LJ with the 3rd overall.

He is playing way below average and it's getting to me. But it's so hard to sit him.

Should I pull the trigger on him or give him more time?

ESPN was saying if I keep him this long ride it out because he has a weak schedule coming up.

Thanks.

ESPN might be right.

If you get a good offer, do it. However I don't think anyone would give up anything good with the way he's been playing.

I am in the same range. What do you think of a WR for LJ? What range should I be looking at?

Right now I am in a 3WR and 2 RB league, I have depth at RB
Lynch
AD
LJ
Turner
S.Young

but with the bye and injuries my WR is looking weak.

Do I trade LJ for some WR help (if so, who) or do I float a different Rb for a WR this week?

Right now out of my 5 WR I only have 2 playing.
A.Johnson is likely out
C.Johnson is on bye
M.Harrison is on bye
So I have V,Jackson and A.Davis.

I offered a guy Larry Johnson for Larry Fitz. How is that?

He actually did. SO I got Fitz if it passes in the league.

I think LJ will turn it around, but I just needed WR help so bad.

Someone offered me Andre Johnson and Laurence Maroney for LJ.

I was going to decide after LJ's game vs CIN this Sunday.

Has anybody heard any injury updates on Andre and Maroney?

Any thoughts?

Andre is out at least another week.

Maroney is going to be splitting carries with Morris and Maroney does not get the red-zone carries.

Depending on who else is on your team I would not do it. I made the offer for Fitz and LJ straight up, but I have nice depth at RB (AD/Lynch/S.Young/Turner) and was hurting at WR (Harrison/Andre out, Jackson underplaying, A.Davis only good with Andre out) so I needed to make the trade for need.

Pardon the ignorance, but who's "AD?"

Anyway, for RBs, I have LJ, Rudi, Ahman, Dayne, and Kenton Keith. At WR, I have Chad, Steve Smith, and Boldin. The starting positions are a bit unconventional.

QB, WR, RB, WR/TE, WR/RB, K, D, DB, DB, DL, DL.

As you can see, you can start a maximum of 3 WRs, while being handcuffed to using only a maximum of 2 RBs. Yes, it's a WR-valued league (on top of that, there are 1.25 Pts-Per-Reception).

Anyway, if Andre were healthy, I'd be very tempted to take the trade also based on need (like your trade for Fitz). Boldin's been injured and Steve Smith's value's gone down w/ Delhomme.

[On a side note, I offered McNabb & LJ for P.Manning & Harrison. Thoughts?]
