Week 11 sit/start

Post#1 » by gswhoops » Tue Nov 13, 2007 4:25 pm

Since there's one for every week so far, I thought I'd ask this here:

Dwyane Bowe vs. Indy or Lee Evans vs. NE?

League 1

I'm really screwed at QB in one league.
I've got Peyton Manning, and Griese was gold for me until before the bye week, but now he's injured and my only other QB is Cleo Lemon.

I'm trying to pull a trade for Warner, but until then, here are some FA options.

Pick 1:
Cleo Lemon @ Phili
David Garrad vs San Diego
Kyle Boller vs Cleveland
Alex Smith vs St. Louis
Rex Grossman @ Seattle
Joey Harrington vs Tampa Bay

WR - pick 3

Bernard Berrian @ Seattle
Roy Williams vs New York Giants
Hines Ward @ New York Jets
Lee Evans vs New England
Greg Jennings vs Carolina

RB - pick 2

Willie Parker @ New York Jets
Cedric Benson @ Seattle
Maurice Jones-Drew vs San Diego
Kevin Jones vs New York Giants
Ryan Grant vs Carolina
Chester Taylor vs Oakland

+ pick 1 more WR or RB.

Defense - pick 1

Dallas vs Washington
San Diego @ Jacksonville

League 2: I've won 6 straight in this league.

Pick 1
Kurt Warner @ Cincinatti
Cleo Lemon @ Phili
Jason Campbell @ Dallas

Pick 2
Greg Jennings vs Carolina
Larry Fitzgerald @ Cincinatti
Bernard Berrian @ Seattle

Pick 2
Marion Barber vs Washington
Chester Taylor vs Oakland
Reggie Bush @ Houston

Woah, thanks for all the help, guys.

I think I'm gonna go Roy Williams, Hines Ward, Greg Jennings at WR, Willie Parker, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Ryan Grant at RB with Dallas D in league 1.

I forgot to mention I have Marc Bulger in my second league, the one everyone is picking Warner for. Should I start Bulger or Warner?

I would still go with Warner. He is up against one of the worst pass defenses in the league this week.

I would be cautious of playing Roy Willaims or Rex Grossman this week if you have better options which I believe you do. Williams has either been huge or bust this year and I would expect bust this week. Detroit has had troubles protecting Kitna, and the Giants have done a good job of getting pressure on opposing QBs. So as much as I don't like saying it, it looks like a long day for the Lions at Ford Field this Sunday. As far as Grossman goes, he faces a tough pass defense in Seattle that will probably get a couple interception from him. I don't see a very good points game out of Grossman on Sunday either.

Seattle is prone to give up the big passing play, which is pretty much what Grossman does.

That might bode well for he and Berrian.

Jeff Garcia @ Atlanta

or

Marc Bulger @ San Fran

Not standard yahoo points here, so Jeff's running yards will really help me here, and he normally does well against Atlanta.

Derek Anderson @ BAL
Jon Kitna vs NYG
Marc Bulger @ SF

Anderson has been gold for me since I picked him up off waivers in Week 4. He's been almost surreal, I didn't expect him to be this good fantasy wise, in my league he's the 3rd ranked QB behind only Brady and Romo.
I think he's due for a bad game though, so I don't know if I should start those other guys this week. This week is huge for me, Im 5-5 and the guy Im playing is 6-4 and exactly one game up on me in the standings so I need to get this one.

Also,

Do you guys think I should start Andre Johnson this week in place of Lee Evans or Nate Burleson? Andre was a monster until his knee problems and has been out since Week 2...They're saying he's going to play against the Saints...My thinking is, with Dion Branch coming back for Seattle means Burleson will get less looks, so starting Andre would make a lot of sense anyway, Im just not sure how ready AJ will be, he's been out of action for a while and Im not sure he's 100% or close to it yet.

Yeah starting AJ over Burleson would be a no- brainer...but Burleson has played well lately(no last week but hes been solid before then) and he gets me points on PR sometimes.
