This is my Team
QB: D.Andersoin
WR: R.Moss
WR: S.Smith
WR: R.White
RB: L.Johnson
RB: R.Brown
TE: V.Davis
K : A.Vinateri
Def: Chargers
Bench
RB: E.Graham
WR: J.Walker
QB: M.Schaub
WR: B.Johnson
TE: D.Lee
The trade that was offered is Steve Smith for Joey Galloway and Selvin Young.
Smith is out for the first 2 games with the suspension; punching Lucas. And, Young will be starting for the Broncos.
So, basically what do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger?

Or, instead of Young, I could get Michael Turner. Would that be better ?

I’m not a big fan of Smith and I’d probably advocate trading him but this isn’t the kind of deal you want to do. You’re essentially downgrading your second receiver position (Galloway isn’t anywhere near Smith in terms of expected fantasy impact) while picking up a RB that’s worse than your two existing starters and maybe even worse than Graham on your bench. (Denver RBs have strange usage patterns, making them risky fantasy options.)
If this was baseball, this trade would be trading a B+ prospect for two C+ prospects. While the two C+ guys may give you depth and, combined, they may outproduce your B+ guy, you’re essentially trading away an impact player that gives you a higher ceiling. (You’re also, by virtue of needing to drop someone to fill the slot for the other guy in the trade, losing out on that production, making it a net loss. Really, who do you drop? Graham? Johnson?)
To tell you the truth, I’d hold on to Smith. Neither Young nor Turner makes this deal worth doing. You need QB help more than anything. Trade Smith straight up for a second-tier QB, someone like McNabb or Hasselbeck.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Anderson and Schaub aren't exactly the two best QBs to rely on, as unproven as they both are (can you tell I still don't buy Anderson as being the next big thing?).

Thanks man, this is some solid advice.
