I hope your right about Agle being a top 5 TE then it makes having 2 TE to start the season worth it . We have an incredibly large bench in this league and have 3 backups to my RB and WR so droping one makes little sense. I just waited to draft a TE in my league moreso then the rest of the guys in my 12 team league so I thought it was best to pick up 2 TE with potential in case one flames out and i have all my eggs in one basket. It will just create a guessing game each week until someone clearly steps up. So as far at this week goes: you didn't pick one.... doh
what? if you think you have a top 5 TE, whats the point of having another?
and deeney is right, unless you start two TE's i don't see why you'd need two
there are always some on waivers
Well, if I were to have only one it wouldn't be Alge as I drafted Davis well ahead of him and the potential is there. As I pointed out earlier we have an extremely deep bench and I have my WR's and RB's backed up to the point of it being ridiculous, not to mention what's left on waivers is scraps. I'm in a 12 team league and almost every team has 2 TE's on their team, so no, there aren't good TE's on waivers (Utech-highest ranked available TE). Is it really worth dropping a potential starting TE when both are ranked about equal going into the season and have no clue which one is going to step up in order to pick up the likes of LaMont Jordon or Dominic Rhodes w hen I can wait it out a week or two to see who steps up then get rid of one or the other. No one is going to trade for either of these TE's.
I think I'm going with Davis in week 1 but I'm thinking Alge will probably have a better week and/or season.
