R. Wayne for C. Palmer and T. Gonzalez

Post#1 » by l2RDO » Wed Sep 17, 2008 9:04 pm

I've been offered Reggie Wayne and Lance Briggs for Carson Palmer, Tony Gonzalez, and DeMeco Ryans. My WR corps could really use some help and both Palmer and Gonzalez are on my bench.

My team is the following.

QB: Jay Cutler, Carson Palmer, David Garrard
RB: Marion Barber, Larry Johnson, Rudi Johnson
WR: Laverneus Coles, Joey Galloway, Jerry Porter, Devery Henderson
TE: Jason Witten, Tony Gonzalez
DP: DeMeco Ryans, Ellis Hobbs
D/ST: Titans, Jaguars
K: Nick Folk

League starts QB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, TE, DP, DP, D/ST, K

What does everyone think? Should I do it?

I don't know how the DP stats are for your league, but unless Ryans is an absolute stud (yes, even more than he already is), I'd probably take the deal (I'd try squeezing him a bit for more also, if you can).

Defensive players get 1 point for every 3 tackles, 2 points for every sack, tackle for a loss, INT, forced fumble, fumble recovery, blocked kick, and safety. They also get 6 points for any TD they score.

They seem pretty even to me.

I take the Wayne side for sure. Palmer has sucked.

That's a no brainer. Now you just need to figure out a way to get a decent #2 running back, or just keep your fingers crossed that Larry Johnson picks it up (cause Rudi won't).
