Trading Draft Picks Help!!

Post#1 » by mcaul55 » Wed Aug 5, 2009 5:29 pm

I'm in a league where we are able to trade draft picks and our draft isn't until another three weeks. I was lucky enough to get the number 1 pick, should I keep it or look to trade down? If I trade down what do you think I can get for it? Also, with my other picks should I try to move up doing 2 for 1's or should I try to move down and accumulate more picks? Any help would be appreciated!!

I have very little experience with trading draft picks before the draft even happens.

With the 1st overall pick do you plan on selecting Adrian Peterson? If you have another player you would like to select I would move the pick. Maybe you can move the 1st and a 6th or later for someones 1st and 3rd.

we do the same in my league, but we can trade future picks too, it's really great.

I use this sometimes to look at the value:

Honestly you won't get as much as you think you will.

You could move down a few spots and only pick up a 4th if they want to overpay, which i don't think anyone would unless it's a keeper league or they have like 8-12 picks in the first.

Wow, great find with the draft pick analyzing. According to that I made a great move. In a 10 team league I traded the 1st, 100th, and 101st, for the 19th, 22nd, and 42nd.
