7 team league, points for basically everything, positions include QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN. I didn't happen to be around for the draft, or have my pre-draft list organized as I was told we'd be drafting tomorrow. But let me know if I made out okay or not. Is Eli Manning a better bet than Matt Cassel? He is still on the waiver wire.

1. (5) Matt Forte RB
2. (10) Frank Gore RB
3. (19) Steve Smith WR
4. (24) Roddy White WR
5. (33) Terrell Owens WR
6. (38) Aaron Rodgers QB
7. (47) Greg Olsen TE
8. (52) Tennessee DEF
9. (61) David Akers K
10. (66) Ryan Grant RB
11. (75) Lee Evans WR
12. (80) Donnie Avery WR
13. (89) Matt Cassel QB
14. (94) Jeremy Shockey TE
15. (103) New England DEF

I'm not as used to a 7 team league, but I'll point out the obvious - you wasted your 8th and 9th round picks. Kickers should be last round picks at best, and defenses fairly close to that as well. Nobody would be picking a kicker before players like Ryan Grant are still on the board. If you only have 7 teams, you are going to get a fine kicker with the last pick in the draft, and probably a decent defense with the second last pick in the draft.

I like that you drafted 3 WRs in the first five rounds though. For 3 WR leagues that makes loads of sense.

Way too early for your kicker. Always wait until the last round. I wouldn't have jumped on Tennessee's defense that early. It's also a travesty that Grant went at #66. That's the 7th freaking round in a standard 10 team league.

Yeah as I said, manager of the league changed the date of the draft, and since I didn't have predraft rankings set, it used yahoo's default autodraft list.

Thank you for the responses though. I imagine I'll be coming here a few times during the season for some tips and help.

I really like Avery as a sleeper, espcially as the other Stl Wr's are getting older and losing a step, I am never a fan of having two defences espcially in a seven team league where you could easily add/drop and play based on the match-ups of the week.

Rodgers should have a great year, but you want to be careful with your by weeks, Rodgers, Grant and Forte all have Week 5 off so you will need to add another RB for that week, you can either sit and wait and hope to pick up off the waiver someone who is hot or grab someone now and drop one of your D's (Ray Rice is a great pick-up if he is avliabl)

Hope this helps a bit.

I'm not loving your recievers either.
Terrel Owens is going to be a major disappointment this year.
I am not as high on Roddy White as others and Steve Smith is overrated...
In a 7 team league, you're easily looking like the 6xth best team.
