Trade

Post#1 » by hermes » Wed Sep 30, 2009 1:38 pm

So i am loaded with running backs on this team, but not in good shape qb or wr wise (starting two and three respectively) while i only start two rb's here's all i have
-AP, Brandon Jacobs, Steven Jackson, Ryan Grant, Fred Jackson, Pierre Thomas, and Felix Jones

i know, i missed the boat on qb's so i only have Romo and Leftwich (had garrard but dropped him)
wr's are Housh, manningham, anthony gonzallez, welker, santana moss, and cotchery

anyway long story short, i'm going to start moving my rb's (no use keeping them to sit on the bench) for players that can help out the cause

first proposal (from another guy)
He gives:
Percy Harvin
Julius Jones

I give:
Steven Jackson
Anthony Gonzalez

notes: he really wants jackson, enough to take on gonzo even though he's hurt for a few weeks

this seems obvious that i should go for it, right?

Not enough return for a No.1 back and a No.2 TE. Remember, even though it kind of burns you up to see guys putting up points on your bench, at least those guys aren't putting up points for another team in your league.

Anthony Gonzalez of the Colts, not Tony Gonzalez of the Falcons.

I'm not sure about it... Your league is TD dependant, and its hard to say that Harvin gonna keep scoring at the rate has has been.

Hes not getting a lot of yardage so is he getting lucky with targets or is he established as Favre's first option in the red zone? My fear with this deal is that you have already held Gonzo through 3 missed games, and he could be back after their week 6 bye. At which point you MAY have a rcvr in Harvin that is not much better, and have traded S Jax for Jones.

i rejected the sanchez trade

i'm thinking of counter-offering this

he gives up:
jason cambell
calvin johnson

i give up:
steven jackson
and then one of these wr's
welker/s. moss/housh/cotchery/manningham

which would you give up

I just offered this trade:

S.Smith (Car)
D. Hester

for

G. Jennings (I'm a Packers fan)
A. Bryant

After the bye this week the Packers schedule is
Det
Cle
Min
Tampa
Jennings could put up some HUGE numbers in those games. Opinions?

I like it a lot.
Although in general I don't like Campbell at all, but getting Tron for SJax and Manningham is worth it to upgrade your recievers for sure.
