Week 10 Start / Sit

Post#1 » by Wasp » Wed Nov 11, 2009 3:26 pm

Wednesday waivers are done, time to start about our Week 10 Lineups.

Start 1 RB: Maroney @ IND or Shonn Green vs. JAC

Start 1 WR: Laveranues Coles @ PIT or Chris Chambers @ OAK

I'd start Maroney, unless the Pats pick up L Johnson.

As for your WRs, thats a tough one. I think Coles is more consistent, but Chambers is on a pass happy offense. Plus Bowe should take Asomugha away from Chambers.

I'd start Chambers. Cassel will be throwing the ball a lot. And with Asomugha covering the big-play receiver Bowe, look for Chambers and Engram to get their fair share. And plus Coles is so inconsistent even with a injured Henry.

Start Shonn Greene. Jags defense is not what it used to be. And the Colts have a stingy run defence.

Tim Hightower vs Sea or J Stewart vs Atl?

Thanks.

As a niner fan, I'm bias but Alex Smith should have a bounce back game and with all the smack that Vernon Davis is talking...he better have a monster game.

If DeAngelo Williams isn't playing then gotta start Stewart but Hightower against Seattle is a safe start since I also have Hightower.

Maroney@Indy or HighTower or Marshawn Lynch@Tennessee without T.O.?

I think I'd probably go Hightower there. Tennessee has tightened up the D a bit, and TH is safer than LM.

My 2 RBs were easy choices this week -- Turner and TJones. However, my 2 WR spots and flex have me puzzled. I can choose from H. Ward (CIN), S. Smith 1.0 (ATL), Burleson (@ARI), Bowe (@OAK), Maroney, Greene (JAX), and Kolby Smith (@OAK).

I'm leaning toward the first three there, but it's REALLY hard to trust Smith, Ward's got a short week and Seattle didn't do much last time out against Arizona.... Do I maybe start both TJones and Greene against Jacksonville?

I'd go with Ward, Smith and Bowe.

Ward is solid, Bowe has good games and Im just waiting for him and Cassell to break out

Which Tight end should i start tonight?
Olsen @ SF
Davis vs Chi

Rank these RBs in order for this week:
Forte @ SF
Ryan Grant vs Dallas
Westbrook? @ Chargers
Lesean McCoy @ Chargers (if westbrook is out)
Rashard Mendenhall vs Cin

I forgot I already have Forte and Hester playing tonight, so I don't want to start too many players from one game, in case it ends up being a low scoring game. I agree Alex Smith should do pretty well vs CHI, but I can't help but think KC will throw heavy against OAK with chambers now and no LJ. I'll start Stew if DeAngelo doesn't play, right on about that, but he is too inconsistant if De ends up playing. Thanks for the input. I'd either start Hightower or Maroney. Hightower has a TD streak and Maroney has been hot of late.

First, I'd go with Ward, Bowe and S Smith with Smith being the iffy pick. Second, I'd go with Davis. Olsen won't have many great games like last week, and Davis needs to back his ish up tonight on TNF!
Ranking of RB's: Mendenhall, Grant, Forte, mccoy, westbrook. Mendenhall has been a stud of late, Grant should get his unless GB falls behind fast, Forte will do above his average this year, which still probably isn't great, mccoy and westbrook are headaches with mccoy the better choice due to health.

I am truly having trouble trying to figure out who to start this week as well.

My 2 WR spots are good: R. Wayne + Miles Austin
One RB will surely be L. Tomlinson.

Now, I have one more RB and 2 flex positions to fill with the following players.
Calvin Johnson @ Min
Julius Jones @Ari
Beanie Wells (SEA)
Mike Bell @StL
Percy Harvin (DET)
Jericho Cotchery (JAC)
Jamaal Charles @ OAK

I have to choose 3 of those players (one of which must be a RB). C Johnson used to be a must start but not so much lately. I like a few of the players but others I like for the matchup.

I'm not sure you can go wrong. I actually think that the Bears will focus on showing up V. Davis and force Smith to look to his WRs. FWIW, Olsen has 15 red zone targets on the year, 4 more than any other TE. Davis has only has 7, though he has the ability to break longer plays. If you go down to plays within the 5 yard line, Olsen has 8 targets -- next highest in the league among TEs is 3. Do with that what you will, but Cutler really, really, really looks for Olsen when they get close.

God, I have no idea. If Westbrook plays, they'll split carries, and as bad as SD's run defense is, you never know who's going to have the big day. I probably go with the order Shady gave, but I don't feel good about it -- any of those guys could suck this week.

Olsen 7, V. Davis 1. If it's PPR, it was 14-4. When Cutler's not throwing it to DBs, he's putting it in Olsen's hands...

Hey guys I need help with my pay league that's 16 teams.

For options at third reciever I have:
Torry Holt vs NYJ
James Jones vs Dallas
Mohammed Massaquoi vs Baltimore

Not a whole lot on FA either. Cribbs is most likely the best option.

@sunshine, James Jones...no brainer.

@themount33...Mike Bell, Percy Harvin and Megatron(CJ)
Minn is good against the run so you have to assume that Detroit is gonna throw the ball more.

Bernard Berrian or Malcom Floyd as WR#3?

Favre loves playing the Kittens, and they're coming off a bye. Could be a better matchup, IMO
