How many wins do you project this season?

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Tue Jul 14, 2015 9:51 pm

Assuming Carson Palmer stays healthy, what do you expect?

1 SEP 13 1:05PMMST SAINTS 1-0
2 SEP 20 10:00AMMST AT BEARS 2-0
3 SEP 27 1:05PMMST 49ERS 3-0
4 OCT 4 1:25PMMST RAMS 4-0
5 OCT 11 1:05PMMST AT LIONS 4-1
6 OCT 18 10:00AMMST AT STEELERS 4-2
7 OCT 26 5:30PMMST RAVENS 5-2
8 NOV 1 11:00AMMST AT BROWNS 6-2
9 NOV 8 BYE
10 NOV 15 6:30PMMST AT SEAHAWKS 6-3
11 NOV 22 2:05PMMST BENGALS 7-3
12 NOV 29 2:05PMMST AT 49ERS 8-3
13 DEC 6 11:00AMMST AT RAMS 8-4
14 DEC 10 6:25PMMST VIKINGS 9-4
15 DEC 20 11:00AMMST AT EAGLES 9-5
16 DEC 27 2:25PMMST PACKERS 10-5
17 JAN 3 2:25PMMST SEAHAWKS 11-5

That is a brutal close to the schedule. They better have at least 9 wins before week 15, and hopefully Palmer is still healthy. My predictions have them going undefeated at home, but I'm sure they drop 1 or 2 of those and maybe win 1 or 2 I have them losing.

Vegas Books have you at Over or Under 9.5 wins.
Easily over.

Yes, definitely take the over. Not sure which AFC division they play but the first place schedule in the NFC shouldn't be terribly tough with the NFC east being not so great. They will also want revenge against Carolina and GB probably depends on where it is played and when. They could lose 2 division games and possibly those two against Carolina and GB. Whatever division they play in the AFC, they should max lose 2 games. So 10 should be a minimum. I think they likely win one each between Carolina/GB and probably win one of the two tough AFC games. So somewhere between 10 and 12 if Palmer, Peterson, Johnson and Matheu stay healthy.

With everyone healthy, I think 12 wins is reasonable.

Why would you take under 9.5 since it's not higher? That makes pretty much zero sense.

The season hasn't started yet and I wrote that a week ago. After stuff I've looked at this weekend.,I'm willing to give them more wins and not even have a wildcard come out of division.
I moved them to 5th or 6th on power rankings.

I was just saying that the lower the over/under line is, the more one would lean to taking the over, and the higher, it would make one sway the other way.

I would say that 12 wins is VERY do-able for this year's team. Their line of 9.5 is way too low, I see no reason why they should take much of a dip if any from where they were at last year. I actually expect some improvement. I think they lose @Chicago, @Pittsburgh, @Seattle, and vs. Green Bay.
