AJC: SHOULD D-HALL RETURN?

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Thu Nov 6, 2008 4:21 am

Should the Falcons consider bringing DeAngelo Hall back, now that he's available again, or should they continue to keep him in their rearview mirror? Which side are you on?

Clearly they have nothing else to write about!

Of course take him back, especially for cheap, and he can take the same roll Rossum had!!!!

Falcons won't make move for DeAngelo Hall

Cornerback DeAngelo Hall will not be pursued by the Falcons if he clears waivers.

“That’s not in our plans,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said after Thursday’s practice.

Hall, a former Falcon, was waived Wednesday by Oakland after playing just eight games. The Falcons traded him to the Raiders in March for a second- and firth-round draft picks.

The second-round pick was used to help the Falcons move back in the first round to select left tackle Sam Baker. The fifth-rounder is a 2009 pick.

Hall was drafted by the Falcons in 2004, with the eighth overall pick in the draft. He played four seasons for the Falcons and made two Pro Bowls.

But he apparently wore out his welcome here as the new administration has moved on.

“When [GM] Thomas [Dimitroff] (and I sat down back in February, putting our roster (together) we made a number of critical decisions,” Smith said. “We feel good about the direction that we are going. … We feel very good about where we are at.”
