Around The League News And Rumors (Non-Falcons)

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Bucs recently worked out free agent TE Dallas Clark, and are "expected to try to make a move on him this week."
The news comes on the same day Kellen Winslow says he's been informed he's out in Tampa. Clark would be a much better culture fit than Winslow under new coach Greg Schiano, but appeared to have much less left in the tank last season. Nevertheless, he should be penciled in as the starter if signed. Clark has also visited the Patriots and Chiefs.

The Bucs are looking like they'll compete this upcoming season. I expect the Saints to continue to stay competitive, even with all the drama going on, but the Bucs could cause some problems in our division.

Kellen Winslow has been informed he'll eventually be traded.

Kellen Winslow says he's been informed by Bucs coach Greg Schiano that he's "not wanted" in Tampa Bay, and that the team will help him engineer a trade.
Winslow says problems arose after he decided to work out on his own this offseason (as usual), even though he insists the Bucs never told him it would be an issue. In reality, Winslow was always unlikely to be back. All of the guarantees from the six-year, $36.1 million deal he signed in 2009 have been paid, while he was thoroughly un-dynamic on the field last season. Winslow likely would have been a toxic match with the hard-nosed Schiano. He'll be released if the Bucs don't find a trade partner in short order.

I find that to be interesting but it's probably best.

It looks like Flacco is set to have a big year, so I hope he stays healthy, and I have been a doubter of his during the past.
