Atlanta wins Super Bowl 53 Bid

Atlanta, using the ammunition of the new Mercedes Benz Stadium has won the bid to host Super Bowl 53 (in 2019) over New Orleans.
Arthur Blank's investment payed off as he really wanted a Super Bowl bid. The NFL is giving those bids to cities with new or heavily renovated stadiums. In addition to Atlanta, Miami won the bid for SB 54, their owner payed $450 million in big renovations to their backyard, and LA with its new stadium won the bid for SB 55.
Because of Atlanta, New Orleans (which was only in the bid for 53) won't be hosting another Super Bowl for a long time (they lost out to Minnesota on the bid for SB 52, last year). Atlanta wins this battle in the southeastern rivalry that never sleeps. Hopefully we'll hand New Orleans a few more L's on the football field this fall.
