Falcons Players recognized as top Players of the Month

Deion Jones has already accomplished something 2015 First Round Pick Vic Beasley never has.
FLOWERY BRANCH — Quarterback Matt Ryan was named the NFC’s offensive player of the month on Thursday.
In the three games, Ryan has completed 73-of-103 passes for an NFC-best 70.9 completion rate while passing for 970 yards. Ryan ranks tied for third with seven touchdowns and his one interception is tied for the fewest among quarterbacks with at least 100 pass attempts.
This is Ryan’s third time winning the player of the month award in his career – first since September of 2012. His three Player of the Month awards are also the most by any player in franchise history.

FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons starting middle linebacker Deion Jones was named the league’s defensive rookie of the month on Thursday.
Jones, a second-round pick from LSU, has started the first three games of the season and had a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 45-32 win over the Saints. Jones also has made 25 tackles.
Jones is the third player in franchise history to win the NFL rookie of the month award – first defensive player – joining Julio Jones and Matt Ryan.
