Deshaun Watson
Several sports analyst are now questioning Watson's long term future in Houston now.
QB trades or QB moves are rare and I don't know what roster moves or cap moves will need to be made, but it would great to get, Watson, the Atlanta hometown kid back on the Falcons

I wonder what Watson will do.
Business is business but it wasn't a wise trade. I hope Watson finds his way out. I feel bad for JJ Watts too.

I know that their is no way Houston wouldn't trade Watson right now, but just for due diligence and just for the heck of it, I would call New England and see if they would offer any draft picks for Matt Ryan, and then call Houston and ask how many draft picks it would take to look into a Watson trade.

Interesting but Blank is a Falcon 4 Life kind of guy when it comes to certain players and Matt Ryan is one of them.atlantabbq99 wrote:I know that their is no way Houston wouldn't trade Watson right now, but just for due diligence and just for the heck of it, I would call New England and see if they would offer any draft picks for Matt Ryan, and then call Houston and ask how many draft picks it would take to look into a Watson trade.

I'm a fan of Watson, but the Falcons are not a QB away from a Super Bowl.
Falcons will need to get an elite defense before they are going to be considered a contender. I know Watson's value has gone down, while his talent has stayed the same. If Watson can be got for 1 draft pick, then ya why not, but anything more wouldn't be worth it.

According to Joe Person of The Athletic, the Panthers are likely out on Deshaun Watson.
That's "barring a Hail Mary," according to Person, who is the Panthers' top beat writer. It appears Watson is heavily leaning toward the Saints, but the Falcons are also still in the mix. The Panthers are stuck with Sam Darnold for the time being.

New Orleans appears to be the frontrunner. I personally want Watson because I don't want New Orleans to have him.atlantabbq99 wrote:I'm a fan of Watson, but the Falcons are not a QB away from a Super Bowl.

Cleveland came back into the picture with a fully guaranteed deal. 5 years, $230 million.

Reading through some of the details, it really is gross. I can't imagine why Blank even considered bringing the circus that will follow DW for years to come:

I'm curious to see what this does to Cleveland in the next five years. Guaranteed money for DW and he was certainly wise to take it.Jamaaliver wrote:Reading through some of the details, it really is gross. Re: Deshaun Watson
I kind of hated Deshaun for betraying his home town team, but now with all of the lawsuits, i guess he really needed to take all the guaranteed money he can, to pay for years and years of legal fees and settlements. He will probably only walk away with only a few mill once its all said and done.
