KOO kicked well for us hitting a 49 yard field goal (2-2). I hope we can rely on him this season because he had some questionable moments last year and a lack of power.
Nice to see Ridley find the end zone twice and have 130 yards. It's not very often three WR's have over 100 yards in a losing effort.

Dan Quinn, folks. And that's why they call us the Falcan'ts.
Vaughn McClure wrote:The team that blew a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI managed to throw away another 20-point lead, and now the winless Atlanta Falcons (0-2) find themselves on the brink of another early-season implosion.
Losing a 40-39 decision to the Dallas Cowboys after jumping out to a 20-0 lead is not going to set well with coach Dan Quinn, who came into the season already on the hot seat after back-to-back 7-9 seasons.
The Falcons also missed on a two-point conversion opportunity, which would have come in handy in a one-point loss. Also, the Falcons settled for field goals in the second half when Ryan was cooking on touchdown tosses. And, the Falcons' defense gave up 367 yards and four touchdowns in the second half.
This is the type of loss that could lead to personnel changes or perhaps some coaching moves.

The Atlanta Falcons Somehow One-upped the 28-3 Choke JobSunday’s shocking loss to the Cowboys may not have had the same stakes as Atlanta’s infamous Super Bowl debacle, but by some metrics, it was even worse/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/67440527/FalconsImplosion_AP_Ringer.0.jpg)
What do you even do if you’re a Falcons fan right now? Three and a half years ago, when Atlanta famously blew a 28-3 lead to the Patriots in the Super Bowl, it was a 1-in-333 choke job. Just 52 games later, the team had an even worse loss.
With six minutes left in the third quarter and the Falcons up by 25, ESPN gave Atlanta a 99.7 percent chance of winning, which is the type of game a team should blow only about once every 20 years.
The improbable comeback may have saved the Cowboys’ season—and doomed the Falcons. Even with a seventh playoff spot, teams that start 0-2 have around only an 11 percent chance of making the postseason. The Cowboys, at least, play in the putrid NFC East—but Atlanta has to contend with the Saints and Buccaneers in the NFC South. Their road to the postseason is looking incredibly narrow.
On the flip side, the Falcons have shown that they are the masters of making improbable events happen. Maybe sometime soon one of those events will break their way.

I'm pretty much done, at least for a week to start off... Blank is a pansy for not making a move and putting up with Dan Quit.

My daughter teaches pre K. Her word for pitiful = peeful.
This game was peeful. No doubt about it. Who is Atlanta's special teams coach? Why do not professional players know the rules of the game they are being paid to play?
Since we can't fire the entire team, who can we fire?

The Q team! 0-2

I wish Freeman the best.
Things worked out for him now he needs to take advantage of it.
Giants signed RB Devonta Freeman to a one-year contract worth "up to" $3 million.
Freeman had offers in the offseason worth more money, but he waited until he could find a spot where he could play. The Giants have passing-down specialist Dion Lewis and Wayne Gallman on the roster, but Freeman is the favorite for the most touches once he's incorporated into the offense. Lewis probably sees the most snaps in Week 3 because Freeman can't practice until he passes multiple days of COVID-19 tests. Behind this offensive line, Freeman would do well to be a weekly flex option in 2020.

The "self destruct" Falcons strike again. Matty ice, you have melted away! You sure are earning your money now.
The Q troops at work for only three quarters again.....

Very sad how this team has fallen.
I want Quinn and the front office gone a couple of seasons ago. It's time for change!

DQ is a goner. No way he should have been retained after last season.
