Making final preparation for Sunday home opener with the Saints who are a 5.5 point favorite.
5 different NFL executives tell everyone that the Atlanta Falcons have the worst team in the league.
I've also read that some expect a 2-15 record for Atlanta. Almost every victory, therefore, must be
considered an upset. I'm hoping for a lot of upsets this fall!
GO FALCONS !!

I look forward to seeing how our rookies do and our defense. Let's get some damn sacks vs the Saints.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Drake London (knee) is expected to play Week 1 against the Saints.
London sat out most of August after suffering a knee injury in the preseason opener, but he was always trending toward playing this week. Coming off an injury, in a tough matchup, and playing in a questionable offense, London is a risky start.

Marcus Mariota starts strong, finishes slow
Mariota was hot early on but his inability to get the offense going late in the game took away from what would have been a stellar debut. He completed 20 of 33 passes for 215 yards, and rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown. Still, Mariota fumbled twice (recovering once) and couldn’t make a play when the team really needed it. It was an up-and-down debut for Super Mario.

Thank god for the come back by the Saints! Falcons cannot afford to win games this season. Tank for Jalen Carter!!!
I'm only disappointed in Pitts. I'm hoping he shows out this year and shows he is the next Julio.

Week 1
Mariota sacked 0 times
Ryan sacked 3 times
I've been saying this for years. All of the sacks have been Ryan's fault and not the OLine's. Ryan is just too soft in the pockets and will fall if anybody puts a pinky on him.

More than one game behind the Colts line will determine that.

Our Falcons had four sacks today. Finally a defense that will sack our opponents QB.

Great lose for the Falcons. 20 years from now we could be talking about how that fumble by Mariota was the start of the dynasty and how it lead to the Falcons drafting Carter.
