Cordarrelle Patterson suggests the Falcons sign WR Keenan Allen
The Falcons could be in for an exciting offseason. Not only did Atlanta poach Saints co-defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, the team will enter free agency with enough cap space to sign pretty much any player on the market.
Could Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen be a potential target for the Falcons? At least one player would like to see such a move. Running back Cordarrelle Patterson tweeted that Allen would be a nice signing for Atlanta.

Kyle Pitts had the top-selling jersey in the state of Georgia in 2022
It’s the second straight year where Pitts has had the top-selling jersey in Georgia.

I really hope we don't blow our salary cap and draft picks on Lamar Jackson...We'd be going right back into salary cap hell after finally digging our way out.
Build up the team first.

^ I wouldn't take Lamar, but if a trade happens, i wouldn't be upset either. I'm still hoping Stroud slips to the Falcons at 8, but if not, i would love to get Dorian Thompson Robinson in the later round, and then go into 2023 with Ridder and DTR

Falcons signed S Jessie Bates, formerly of the Bengals, to a four-year, $64.02 million contract.
Bates was considered "as good as gone" from the Bengals by The Athletic's Jay Morrison back in February. Now, that speculation has been confirmed, as Bates inks a four-year deal with the Falcons, who will give him $23 million in the first year of his deal. Bates reluctantly played under the franchise tag last season but was due a big payday after performing at a high level for his first five years in the league. Bates was named a Second-team All-Pro in 2020 and has totaled 14 interceptions and 479 tackles in his career. He will immediately improve a Falcons pass defense that allowed the eighth-most passing yards (231.9) last season.

Falcons agreed to terms with DT David Onyemata, formerly of the Saints, to a three-year, $35 million contract.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Onyemata will pull down $24 million guaranteed. The 30-year-old had mentioned as one of the market's quietly more sought after names. A Saint since 2016, Onyemata typically stones the run while offering strong pass-rushing heat from the interior. It's probably an overpay, but the Falcons are overflowing with cap space.

I never expected this to happen and out of all of the teams New Orleans signed him.
Saints signed Jamaal Williams, formerly of the Lions, to a three-year, $12 million contract.
Williams only managed a two-year deal when he signed on the dotted line in Detroit in 2020, but racking up 17 touchdowns in a single season tends to draw the eyes and checkbooks of general managers. He totaled 1,066 yards on 262 carries in his second season with the Lions. Williams is likely being brought in as the ideal replacement for Mark Ingram's role in the offense. Well over 30 years old, Ingram wasn't capable of taking the bulk of the body blows off Alvin Kamara's plate over the past two seasons. This forced the Saints to give Kamara a career-high in carries in 2021 and the second-most carries of his career last year. Now they have a true backfield duo once again. Williams could also be in for a larger role if Kamara is ultimately suspended because of an incident in Las Vegas last year. His deal includes $8 million in guaranteed money.

Taylor Heinicke told reporters his mindset for the Falcons is to be "the best backup I can be to Desmond [Ridder]."
Assuming there is no quarterback picked in the draft this year or some sort of wacky late run at Lamar Jackson, it seems safe to assume there will be no quarterback battle in Atlanta this year and that Desmond Ridder will enter Week 1 as the starter. Heinicke very well may wind up playing games anyway given how Ridder's end of the season audition went, but Ridder should have at least a little runway in fantasy this year with some rushing upside.

I would draft DTR in the 5th round or Hooker in the 3rd round and then Heinicke can mentor both Ridder and DTR.
