Smart move by Atlanta. Joey could flourish in spot minutes behind something resembling an offensive line, so this is a very low-risk, high-reward move for the Falcons.

I don't think this is a bad deal for either side. The Falcons needed a decent 'back-up qb' and Joey needed somewhere to have a chance to stay in the league. The deal works out for both sides in the long run. I still hope the kid shows half the potential of how he played at Oregon someday, but I've really given up hope that he'll ever be consistently good.

It's not a bad signing by all means but I don't trust Joey. I hope he stays on the bench and we aren't forced to use him.
