Injuries already killing us. (3 big ones so far)

Post#1 » by High 5 » Tue May 1, 2007 2:08 am

As you know, Demorrio tore a pec while lifting and will be out ~5 months if we're lucky. (same injury that ended Kerney's season last year)

Now Rod Coleman will be out 3-5 months after rupturing his right quad on a "personal watercraft" and Todd Weiner is out 2-3 months after injuring his whole body trying to teach his kid how to ride a bike. What a douche.

Don't have a link for the Weiner injury.

Our offense needs to stay on the field longer and take control of the games. It's going to be a very long season if these types of injuries continue.

This is just unreal.

We had no depth to begin with.

This is an injury we could not afford to have. We really need Bab to have a breakout year. This is just going to put added pressure on Abraham to stay healthy and perform. It might put extra pressure on Jamaal as well.

Unfortunate turn of events, but that comment about Todd Weiner was really funny.

Yeah that's the bad thing, we already have an injury prone DE in Abraham, it's going to be tough for him to stay healthy. Coleman always seems to get hurt too, however it happens..

I really hope this year isn't like last year in that our entire team is bombarded by injuries. Oh well, at least it's early.

real talk finerran might get cut, he hasn't been healthy in years, and he's never been more expendable than now. i think we're in good shape with horn, white, jenkins and robinson.

A 35 year old Horn isn't going to put us in good shape. We already witnessed the fallacies of White and Jenkins last season. I wouldn't feel comfortable at the WR unless we get a serious upgrade, which seems very unlikely.

i dunno, mario urrutia from l'ville will be a prospect next year so i think if necessary we can look to create more depth next season. plus horn better be productive for the money he's getting. if anything if he helps the progression of white, jenkins, and laurent it's worthwhile investment. i think they'll improve moderately.
