Videotapes sought of Vick watching dog fights

That evidence could eventually include videotapes of Vick at matches. Kathy Strouse, the Animal Control coordinator for the City of Chesapeake in Virginia, said Monday that she has received a tip from what is described as a "reliable source" that tapes of Vick exist that would tie him directly to the burgeoning scandal and a possible felony charge.

"We don't know where (the tapes) are or if they do indeed exist, but I have been told that they are out there," said Strouse, who is also affiliated with two other organizations involved in the welfare of animals. "Without knowing where they are, there's no possibility of getting a search warrant at this point."

Keep digging, keep digging.

He's gonna go down hard, I'm telling you.

8 games minimum.

I find it hilarious that they want videotapes, but have no idea where they are. Sounds like they are searching for something that might not be there.

8 games? He is not going to get the same punishment as Chris Henry. Henry was arrested and pleaded guilty for speeding, having weed, and not having a valid drivers license. In June he was pulled over for having a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. In October the NFL suspended him for 2 games. In January he was found guilty of giving alcohol to minors and spent 88 days in jail. Goodell won't suspend Vick 8 games minimum if he only suspended Henry, who has a bigger history than Vick and has been suspended before, for 8 games. I could see 2 games, maybe 4, but 8?

So do Falcs fans think he had no involvement in this like he said?

IMO, he is innocent until proven guilty. He might have been involved, but until they find evidence then he is innocent.

Innocent until proven guilty. However, I believe he was part of the raising the dogs, funded the family staying at the house, but only for purposes to raise the dogs for resale and not for fighting. Will see what happens but if they have evidence I hope they bring him down for along time.

Sounds like something our current president would say....

Whether he did it or not, they're going to need proof. And not just some joe blow off the street saying he fought Michael Vick's dog in 2000. I could have done that.

They are going to need video or photographic evidence of Vick at a dog fight.

I would like to know where Vick was getting "$30-40 thousand" to throw down on dog fights while he was in college. His dog was either really, really successful (Cujo anyone?) or this is another BS story.

Boosters.

Also, what are those black buildings for behind the property?

Not looking good for Mr. Vick.

I hope he had nothing to do with it, but thats pretty doubtful.

Innocent until proven guilty. Right now all they really have is a guy saying he fought his dog back in 2000. They need to find evidence that he was at a fight, but having a video tape. Even if they charge him, he will spill the beans and screw a bunch of athletes and other dog fighters.

I've been talking with people involved in this investigation, and the storm against Vick is brewing, and it's going to hit hard.

They still don't have any videos of Vick at dog fights, but I can confirm that the following all exist:

--pictures of Vick with dogs being trained
--pictures of Vick purchasing dogs bred for fighting
--receipts of Vick paying for both dogs and training equipment
--at least 3 Vick extended family members who have turned on him

The Surry County prosecutor and the FBI are both tying up any and all potential loose ends before they bring charges. A reporter I know from Richmond told me that at minimum Vick will be charged with owning dogs bred for fighting (a 4th degree misdemeanor in VA) and negligent animal abuse (depending on severity, either a 3rd degree misdemeanor or felony). In thoery they could charge him for the latter for each of the 77 dogs found on his property, though that is extremely unlikely. What's more likely is they try and crack those close to him to give him up, and if they don't (I don't believe they will, most others don't either) then they'll nail Vick with a couple of counts of negligent animal abuse and allowing illegal gambling to be transacted on his property, just enough to get him in jail for a few days and to cover the costs of the investigation in fines.

As for his NFL discipline--hard to say. But I would not be optimistic if I were a Vick fan.

Yes they are.

I promise you they aren't, but if that's what you believe, more power to you.

You personally know every booster @ Virginia Tech and how much money they gave Michael Vick?

That would be the only way you could promise me that.

If you want to go that route, how do you know they are that generous? The only way you'd know that is if you knew of one that was. Common knowledge and odds are in my favor, though.

Thats my point chico, there is no common knowledge about what Boosters really do.

I'm not saying you are wrong or that I'm right, just providing a scenario that is a possibility.

Although it has been documented that Boosters give players more than 40 g's in the past.

Actually, the informant said the bet 7 years ago was for 5k

I took it that the 40k number mentioned referenced a more current state of Vick's finances. He did use the present tense in that bit.
