Looking back at the Houston Texans trade

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Wed Jul 18, 2007 12:54 am

The Atlanta Falcons were able to select both Jamaal Anderson and Justin Blalock during this years NFL draft at the cost of Matt Schaub.

What's your stance on the trade now knowing all the Vick issues that are still not resolved?

I am still going to say that it was a great trade. We were able to get a solid backup through fa, and we got players who can contribute right now and for years to come.

I'd say @ this point in Schaub's career - he's not lightyears better than Harrington.

He probably IS better, but its not like the difference between him and Peyton.

I still lean towards the trade and the young talented players we have added to the team. I was expecting this to be more 50/50 but maybe it will get to that point the longer this thread exist.

Top OT, able ot move up to take a top de, a second rounder next year all for a guy who was gonna walk at the end of the year. Sounds like a steal for us. Not to mention if you give Harrington a good line, a top te, and a great running game, he will flourish.
