The Falcons announced their team captains for the 200708 season after a recent vote by the team. Alge Crumpler and Wayne Gandy will be offensive captains, Keith Brooking and Lawyer Milloy will be defensive captains and Corey McIntyre will represent special teams.
This season, team captains will wear a patch on their jerseys.

That's awesome that they're getting the captain patches. It's unfortunate Gandy has to wear one. I mean, I guess he's a good guy. I usually like what he says to the media, but he just doesn't have it anymore. Hopefully Foster proves himself to be a worthy starter. He looked pretty good in the preseason. Doesn't hurt that he's 6'7, 340 lbs and already played under Petrino at Louisville.
