Free-agent signees Horn, Mughelli underutilized

Ovie Mughelli:

The question was hardly unfamiliar to Falcons fullback Ovie Mughelli. His mother and brother have read him blogs and other online comments -- "They're big Internet people" -- but even they've asked, "Why are you here?"

"My mom asked me and I said, 'Don't get me started,' " Mughelli said.

"I can understand people asking that question, 'Why am I not more involved?' " Mughelli said. "What I would tell them is be patient because if I can do it, they can do it."

Mughelli signed the richest contract ever for a fullback -- six years, $18 million. A relatively unknown player who blossomed last season in Baltimore, Mughelli wants to prove he is worth the money.

Joe Horn:

"I'm frustrated because we're losing," Horn said. "I'm not frustrated, really, because I'm not getting the ball as much as I would like. That's being selfish and I can't be selfish. I'm a receiver. I'm hungry. I'd love to have every ball. It just frustrates me that we're not winning, and that's not happening."

Horn needs to catch the ones that hit him in the hands. We still would have lost that game most likely, but that TD would have been nice.

Horn should be getting the ball more, but it's not like he's the stud WR he was for two seasons awhile back. He's only caught 5 TD's since 2004, and with Harrington in there it isn't like we're going to get that much offense this year.

Still, I do agree with his comments. I'd like to see him get more chances, but it's going to be tough.
