"Coach and I did meet," Crumpler said Wednesday. "With respect to that conversation, I won't get into the details, but we definitely agreed that we're capable of winning games."
He said he regrets his eruption after the game.
"I care about the guys in this locker room so much and just want to win so bad," Crumpler said. "I hate that my frustrations got the best of me in an instant right after a game. We cleared the air. We talked about some things."
Crumpler, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, said he's ready to buy into Petrino's program.
"Now is a time where I'm needed the most," Crumpler said. "Where Warrick [Dunn] is needed the most, Lawyer [Milloy] and Keith Brooking are needed the most. I really believe that we can get this ship turned in the right direction. Support [quarterback] Joey [Harrington] and support the guys that we have up front and the new guys that we're going to be putting in there, regardless of who they may be, we'll do all right."
