Report: Parcells Offered VP Job With Falcons
19th December, 2007 - 1:38 am
AP - Bill Parcells could become the Falcons' VP of football operations, a role that would put him in charge of finding the team's next coach.

Parcells is considering an offer to join the team's front office, a person familiar with the negotiations said on condition of anonymity because talks were ongoing.

Rich McKay, the team's president and GM, did not immediately return a phone message on Tuesday night.

The offer was first reported by ESPN.com.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank declined comment when asked about Parcells late Tuesday night. [READ]

Having just had parcells in dallas, we were very tired of him in both roles. He is not the most modern coach out there. He was good at finding talent. However, Bobby Carpenter and other picks were ill advised. He will help tho, and I think not getting due credit in dallas this year for the talent assembled. He might turn it down tho without a place to bet on the ponies. Are there tracks now in Atl? I havent lived there since 1996.

Atlanta is basically at the bottom of the barrel right now. It seems like everyone is taking advantage of Mr. Blank and his kindness.
