Chris Redman re-signed with the Falcons on Friday, agreeing to a two-year deal.

Redman appeared in seven games for the Falcons last season, completing 59.7 percent of his passes for 1,079 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions.

"I'd like to thank Mr. Blank, head coach Mike Smith and Thomas Dimitroff for giving me the opportunity to return," Redman said in a statement.

Redman could enter the season as the starter. The Falcons also have quarterbacks Joey Harrington and D.J. Shockley under contract.

I bet we'll cut Harrington now.
