Draft Board Mock Draft: Falcons

Post#1 » by dms269 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:27 pm

Some of you know that there is a mock draft going on over on the draft board. I picked the falcons and have made some picks. This is a good place to talk about it and maybe give me some suggestions. We are doing a 3 round mock.

Pick 3: Chris Long- DE- Virignia
*I wanted Jake but he was gone. While Ellis or Dorsey would be a solid pick as well, Long could provide us with a replacement for Abraham when he is gone.

Pick 34: Brian Brohm- QB- Louisville
*Got the qb I wanted in the second. Flacco may be wanted but Brohm can be solid.

Pick 37: Jerod Mayo- ILB- Tennessee
*We get a solid ILB who can continue our youth movement.

Pick 48: Reggie Smith- CB- Oklahoma
*I wanted Baker here, but he was taken a couple picks above me. We need a cb and Smith is a very solid pick here.

I'd do

Dorsey DT
Brohm QB
Baker OT
Smith CB/S

Interiour DL is a bigger need than DE, Mayo is rated higher than Baker, but Baker should be good and he plays a major need position.

Then we need another OL (Schuening), LB (Goff, Miffitt).

In the fourth and later rounds we go for a TE, SS, OL
