just wondering if Vick will be bigger, faster, and stronger when he gets out...... nothing really much to do in prison besides work out.

would love to see Vick back in the NFL or even ATL as a punt returner, but he added some bulk and even more speed, i would really be intereseted in seeing him at RB or FS.

I would imagine he will be a significantly worse football player after missing two seasons.

He may be bigger and stronger, but I doubt his career (on the field) will ever be the same again.

third of all, it is easy to get faster and stronger in prison, but i have a feeling that Vick's vision at QB got worst after not reading coverage for almost two years.

Vick's been sacked 187 times during his career, so yes he took a pounding, but I see it being different as a QB compared to being to a punt returner. As a QB he's mostly standing still, as a punt returner the tackle is normally a collision at a great deal of speed, so it's something that Vick's not use to, and I doubt he's ever been throughout his football career.

Needing the money factor is there, but other options will be out there for Vick, so he doesn't necessarily need to resort to being a special teams player. He can always find himself a cushy backup QB role if he's willing to accept less money.

^ yeah i know it is different, because QBs get hit harder, because when they get hit, they are in an open stance (espeically hit blind side).

their MIGHT be a GM out there that is willing to sign Vick as a "backup" QB, but that would really be a stupid move. think of all the publicity and media attention your "backup" QB would get, think what that would do to the starting QB, and the team as a whole, and think of the headach the head coach would have, every time the starting QB had a bad series and the fans started chantting the "backup" QB's name?!?!

I think that the Falcons will release him, no team is going to trade for him. I think he'd be best off working out indepentally and working with a PR firm to improve his image and then sign later in the season with some team looking for help. Because there is always at least one.

In 2007 the Falcons used Chris Redman, Joey Harrington and Byron Leftwich.

In 2008 the Lions used Jon Kitna, Drew Stanton, Dan Orlovsky, Daunte Culpepper, and Drew Henson.

Some team will take a chance on him. The Lions are the only team that have publicly ruled him out. The question is, is that a bad thing or a good thing for Vick?

Someone will eventually give him a shot. Personally, I don't think he suits any other position on the field other than quarterback.

He was an average quarterback with running skills not ever seen before, behind a horrible pass blocking offensive line and young, immature receivers.

Had none of this happened, I actually think they would have definitely had something with Bobby Petrino. Unfortunately, both situations went to shambles.

Like Jamie Dukes said on NFL network, I don't think it'll take him too long to get re-acclimated to being an NFL quarterback. I personally think if he went through an off-season of Mini Camps followed by training camp and a couple pre-season games, he'd be ready to go. So, if he's a backup quarterback for the 2009 season (practice time, scout team, etc) followed by all those activities, I think he'd be back.

Harry does make a good point however, regarding the media circus it's going to cause and putting uncertainty into the starting quarterback. That's why I think whatever team he goes to, there has to be an established quarterback, or a reason that everyone knows why he'll be in the game ahead of Vick.

Take Oakland for example. If Vick signs on, Al Davis is going to say "JaMarcus Russell is our quarterback, no matter what happens. After taking him with our 1st overall pick, he needs time to develop." Eventually after a couple weeks, everything is going to die down. Especially if Vick shows that he's remorseful for what happened and maybe does a big time interview with ESPN, NFL Network, Oprah, blah blah blah, to help repair his image.

Besides, if a starting quarterback struggles for a couple weeks on ANY TEAM, when is there not controversy?

Anyways, it's anyone guess what happens. But I don't think he's suited for any other position other than quarterback full time. Maybe in a Wildcat situation once or twice a game, but that's about it. It would be an even bigger adjustment at this time switching positions to a wideout or a running back than it would him staying as a quarterback. He's never played those positions in his life. He's been a quarterback the whole time.

I give it to him, M Vick has been a choir boy since his prison sentence.

He finally grew up.
