Falcons Look At L.J. Smith

The Falcons are expected to sign free agent L.J. Smith, according to the National Football Post.
Smith, 29, had not been linked to any teams to this point. The Falcons could move Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew down their draft board if they sign Smith. Pettigrew once looked like a strong bet to go to 24th overall to Atlanta, but his high-4.8s forty time couldn't have helped his stock.

Nothing is signed yet and L.J. Smith is visiting Detroit. I also prefer us to draft a TE.

I'd really rather not invest in LJ.
His nickname is "stone hands" for God's sake.

White also had the nickname "concrete hands" before Ryan joined the team.
