So....

Steph
Schroeder
Wiggins? Jk?
Dray? Jk?
Loon? Dray? Tjd?

What's kerr thinking here.

Steph, heild, wiggs Dray, and loon is so simple and obvious, yet kerr refuses to go to it.

My guess is they'll start schroeder, Curry, wigs, jk, and dray/loon as the 5. At least, initially. That said, the one thing I always get wrong, and I mean always, is what lineup will start

I remember growing up playing the old school NBA Lives, and back then I didnt know a damn thing about basketball so whoever was ranked the highest played the most. Or if I recognized a name, I used them a lot too

I think we're witnessing that at a coaching level sometimes. I just cant make sense of what Kerr does sometimes. Start Hield, but do it only so JK can get driving lanes? And now we're looking at starting Schroder.. unless he's a sniper or we're starting a very small lineup of Schroder/Curry/Hield/Wiggins/Dray, we're just going to go right back to the spacing problems we've already had

What would it actually take for Kerr to use the blueprint that no one in the NBA could counter in 21-22? Trying everything else except what literally already worked. I'm trying to hold out some hope because MDJ made a fantastic trade, but between starting JK over Dray, heaping praise on Podz and now this? Winning games >> playing politics

We have 3 + offensive players, now a 4th with shroeder. All can play in the backcourt minus wiggins.

The new raptor rankings tell us this much.

Defense needs to be the priority in the frontcourt. Dray needs to start.

Past 2 years, not including this year or the title year, the Steph/Wiggins/Dray/Looney quartet was a major positive w/o Klay Thompson. 2 years ago, a strong lineup with Jordan Poole (+16, 150pos) and DDV (+86, 16 pos). Last year, barely tried (80 pos) but a minor net positive (+2.2) with Moses Moody

So the thought could be - put a microwave scoring threat next to them and see how it goes. You'd think

And then, you could have a backup unit led by Schroder/JK PnRs with a couple spot shooters in Lindy, Moody and maybe even Podz, and a stretch 5 in SloMo.. or can run GP2 in a defensive unit

Just makes a lot of sense to actually try this. Will we?

So we had 15th different starting lineup today. And its not about Schroder. Looney/Green was the first start as a front court combo this year. The most lost person on this team is our HC Kerr. He is like our generation kids watching TikTok - 3 seconds for one video and looking to the next one...Also he had 57 different units in last 10 games 4Q's. Kerr lost this team completely.

Right on schedule.

Slater hinting that Moody might be the starting power forward with dray out.

He'd technically be a stretch 4. Moody in his post game presser mentions playing more 4 out.

With dray and jk out, and if Moody starts, this does give us a 4 out offense.

You know...this might actually make it easier to get to my dream lineup:

Steph/Moody/JK/Wiggins/Draymond

I mean Wiggins can be the nominal 2 and JK could be called the 3...but whatever. A rose by any other name...

Except Kerr sees Moody as a 4, jk as a 4, and dray as a 4. Drays body is already breaking down, no way he survives as a full time 5.

I think Kuminga at 3 works, even for Kerr, if Moody is shooting well at 4.

I agree that health will limit reliance on Dray.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

With the current injuries, let's see this rotation:

Curry/Schroeder
Podz/Hield/Waters
Wiggins/GP2
Santos/Moody
Post/Looney/TJD
The hottest of takes...
Jester_ wrote:Hot take: Moses Moody shows the potential to be a star/#2 option ala Lauri Markkanen. Both the eye test and the advanced stats show a player with extremely high slope.
