Wiggins was really coming into his own, and frankly I wouldnt have made that trade straight up.
Schroder, for all his warts, made Podz the SG, and he did a lot better. Well that's gone now too
SloMo wasnt very good but one of few actual creators on the team

A lot of hard work by a lot of folks discarded for a PR trade. Well at least this clears more of a path for Moody. But I knew this was coming the second KD passed on being in Kerr's locker room again. Ah well. Back to being sh*t guys.. well, after a few years of milking some retirement tours. Thankfully I've got a new situation to look forward to, because the Warriors one is going to be grim

Jimmy reminds me of when the Warriors brought in Baron Davis. Baron was a beast....alpha....and I remember Warriors playing the Lakers in LA with Shaq and Kobe....and Baron Davis was STILL the man on that floor.

There is no super star in the league that will intimidate Jimmy....and other than Draymond, we didn't have that. Curry is one of the best scorers in history....but he doesn't walk on the court with the same swag....and doesn't play physical at all.

Can't wait to see Kuminga on back on the team.

Bingo. I grew to respect and like Wiggins. But, as you say, he's not an alpha dog.

An out of shape, barely played Jimmy had a really impressive debut game - the playmaking, the foul drawing and off-ball defense....something we missed so much since Iggy retired.
I get some of you miss our old friend wigs but he does not have the playmaking and efficiency to be an Alpha dog. Jimmy dominated Tatum and Giannis in playoffs and it was really disrespectful to compare him to wiggs - who is more of a 3rd option/3D guy.

Jimmy might still not be enough for us to contend but we are definitely going another level with him. Question is how will the rest of the lackluster roster perform? I think we still way top heavy and not enough talent to make a deep playoff run but at least we have a shot - something we have not had since 2022 championship run.

Jimmy sets better screens than kd that’s for sure and he punishes mismatches in the post which he’s going to get a ton of.

Jk is actually going to benefit a lot from jimmys attention as well off the ball and cutting through gaps.

If buddy is hitting shots and jk becomes more attentive on defense we have a shot.

I don't want to overreact because it was the Bulls after they traded their best player away, but Jimmy fits right in as expected. Someone who can get to the line, hit mid range shots, and be tough around the basket is a much needed dimension.

Just think about how over the past few years we have the worst FT differential in the league, Jimmy turns us into an at minimum average team in terms of FT. And you saw when he goes to the hoop he looks to make the right move -- hit the open shooter or go himself based on what the defense gives him. So the idea he would ruin spacing seems to be the opposite -- you now have someone putting rim pressure that is also a passer. Wiggins could drive but was not a great passer, more of a head down do my move guy.

Really excited to see how we progress with Jimmy, he's had 0 practices and said in the post game he was exhausted, so mildly out of game shape after not playing a few weeks.

The team still needs another outside shooter. I'm currently lusting over the thought of Khris Middleton in a Dubs uniform. Whether that's even possible, I don't know. I know he's been injured. But, to what extent, I again don't know.

I think buddy is going to benefit from Jimmys attention as well since he won’t be trying to vie for the no 1 or no 2 option. Hopefully that settles his shot down and he turns it around. His shot the last 3 games seems to have come back and maybe we’re back to the good buddy cycle.

Middleton would really help....kind of a OPJ signing if that works out. :D

The best thing about the debut was how effortlessly he fit in.

With Schroeder it always looked clunky but you could very easily see a fit and compliment to his game and warriors ball.

Of course this is just the bulls but a good start at least!

Midds had double ankle surgery. That is why the Bucks traded him for Kuzma, he can barely move and it's almost the ASB.

He'd be as compromised as Klay. It's funny all you guys who wanted Klay off the team wants a hobbled Middleton.

As for Jimmy, this was just one game, against the Bulls.

Let's give it at least a couple of weeks first?

I'm more thinking for next season. Even with Butler, I'm not holding out a lot of faith for getting into the first round of the playoffs, let alone getting past it.

The Jimmy trade is already winning, not just getting an alpha.... But also got rid of SloMo. Heats already got enough of him after one game. Hahaha.

This trade is a win bc Steph has his joy back. The last few months before the trade was just depressing. That’s why I figured we were only big fish hunting and not looking for role players like some here wanted.

I wasn't a fan of trading for Jimmy but it has looked better than I thought it would. My biggest concern was and still is having three 35+ yo players in the starting lineup.

Trading away Wiggins is going to hurt them here and there and last night his absence was felt defensively and they missed his 3pt shooting. Jimmy is almost strictly an inside the arc player.

They need to move Draymond in the offseason but they never will.
