Steve Kerr: my mistake was probably not to hitting Kyrie earlier

When a report asks how he thinks of our POA defense..

Steve Kerr: my mistake was probably not to hitting Kyrie earlier and getting the ball out of his hands.... :banghead:

seriously this guy needs to be investigated - how do you not know how to defend a 1 man squad? A college team coach would have known that - see how they doubles Steph 20 years ago...he is either really really dumb as HC or he clearly put money down on mavs.

Unfortunately he (and Draymond) could probably spit in Lacob's face and still not be fired.

Kerr and the refs were not the biggest problems.

It was 8 missed layups. They made a lot of layups but missed 8 of them.

Lack of talent, no reliable jump shooter besides Curry and he was off this game.

Forget about trying to get into the playoffs or play in. Get into the top 10, if not top 5, of this draft.

Got to get more offense talent on the team and the draft is as good a place as any. Or maybe a higher lottery pick can be traded for better shooters/scorers.

The mistake was taking three quarters to figure out very obvious matchups.

Just this week, Markelle Fultz, the #1 pick of his draft class, was signed for the rest of the season.

Reason why he was a bust is that he can't shoot, never was able to shoot. He does some other things well but it's hard to keep someone like him on the court if he can't make wide open shots that teams are willing to give him.

That unfortunately looks like the career trajectory of Podz and probably Kuminga, two recent draft picks the Warriors front office overrate.

Moody can shoot a bit but he's not a knockdown shooter and for all his hyped wingspan, he gets beat easily off the dribble consistently.

So 3 lottery picks (Wiseman, JK, Moody) and one mid first round pick (Podz) and they have 3 barely passable rotation players.

That's why this roster isn't going anywhere and why those picks are so important. Because they're capped out, they really have to hit MLE and vet minimum players or get lucky and get top half of lottery picks.
