Since Butler has been added, the touches per game have been...
Draymond 71.1
Curry 69.9
Butler 67.7
Podz 64.0
Hield 39.5
Payton 32.6
Last night the ball was handled by the role-players at a much greater rate...
Podz 67
Draymond 54
Butler 53
Hield 49
Payton 48
Curry 47
Anytime you can have the other teams top 3 guys touching the ball much less you're expecting to do good. Maybe this was determined before the game that the main guys would play but take it easy and see if the role-players could win the game?
Curry had no energy to beat the top lock and denials. Also it looked like we weren't ready for the Sengun on Moody and FVV on Dray. Which is good because it gives us something to look at before a possible matchup in the playoffs. It was more like Houston was playoff game planning while we couldn't get out of first gear.
Like whatever we know how to beat the top locks and denying of Steph with Jimmy on the team now. Just requires a lot of effort on Steph's part.
They might as well have been resting a decent amount this whole time vs not go all out to try to get that playoff reset, they're 7 games ahead of the 9th seed.
