people were actually concerned he would try to play football since he 'didn't love' basketball

Theres a strong possibility that he may have been in the same situation as Kuminga if drafted by the Warriors. His first 2 years, Edwards couldnt shoot, defend and turned it over a ton. The Warriors only want to play through Steph.. Would Edwards have learned to do that? With his style of play.. seems unlikely.

Not every great player is a geat fit.

From that draft, Haliburton wouldve been a fit, Ball, Vassell, DesBane

tbf Ant heard Kerr and Bob call him lazy and said 'aight bet'.

JK has heard all of this and more probably from the coaching staff and he still seems to think he's 25/5/2 waiting to happen nightly

Ant seems to be able to apply lessons into practicality lol

The Warriors needed to win the draft lottery. Warriors should have offered the T-Wolves 3 future 1st round picks to exchange the Wiseman pick for the Edwards pick.

But Wiseman was a better fit if he knew how to play basketball.

Wiseman was never the right pick. Curry needs a center that plays like Bogut, not a center that plays like a SF

Wiseman trained with Penny Hardaway for the draft, for goodness sake. If that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is.

Even picking Lamelo instead could have changed the trajectory of the last few years, assuming we could have helped him avoid injuries. He's an amazing player stuck on a terrible team. The feel for the game was there from his very first days on the NBA court. We could have had the ultimate luxury of having an elite offensive player on the court at all times.

Haliburton obviously too. Even Avdija/Okongwu/etc could have really helped this team.

We basically went with probably the worst pick possible. And then didn't hit the next year again too with two lottery picks. Oh well.
