I would probably be willing to give up like 7 FRP's and swaps until 2044 for Derrick White. That a guaranteed a championship.
LOL, just kidding! What in the hell are people even talking about in here?

Steph, Podz, White, Jimmy, Dray would be one of the best 5 man lineups in the league. Couldn’t use it all the time, but it wouldn’t shock me if it had the best net rating in the league.
Not that it matters, Celtics aren’t getting rid of one of their best and most important players.

I don't know what 'objective value' means to you. I listed each player you mentioned and what I thought we'd need to add to the contracts we have to get them in a trade. I guess I just called Cam, Turner, and White 'expensive' without naming a price but Turner and White probably would approach 3 FRP category, if only because their teams have no reason to trade them. Cam isn't worth 2 picks, considering that's been the nets' price for two years and cam is still in BKN - no one paid that price, it seems. The rest are very getable and the price for some is only the size of the contract, if not assets coming back.
Objective value are the values you listed, i.e. the actual value of the players according to their performance. What I'm asking is that is it likely that:
-The Bulls would ask for only 1 protected FRP for Coby white + moody(objective value), or would the bulls gm go Danny Ainge style and demand something like Moody+JK+2 unprotected FRPs for him, because the magic also want him?
- would the Celtics make Dwhite untouchable unless they get 5 FRPs for him instead of 3, or they would demand an unprotected first for Porzingis?
Thanks for the info about cam Johnson, it seems like the nets GM wants to fleece or keep him instead of trading him for his objective value. In any case demand creates inflated value, so and half the league wants him because their options are absolutely inferior to him.
Not sure about the bulls, they're insane. Just as likely to extend cobi and lock themselves into the play-in as they are to trade him. Who knows. Cobi white is expiring so, despite the cheap deal, won't get too much back in a trade. Certainly not two unprotected picks, probably not even one. I'd bet they resign him and he goes from one of the best contracts in the league to.... not that.
I don't see why the Celtics would trade White unless they're blown away by an offer. 5 FRPs would do it, I'm sure. I wouldn't pay that. As for KP, I think they'd be thrilled to move him without giving up a pick.
So basically both the bulls, nets, and jazz GMs want and have proven to want absolute fleecings, so idk why warriors fans think those teams GMs will be magically mind controlled by MDJ this year to not demand half the warriors' picks for their role players.

I did research, and I discovered the bulls want to stay in the playin, so idk why theres still hype there.
This proves the point of my thread: Fans who want the dubs to win a chip next year can't demand that MDJ "gives steph some help" but also say every role player who would be useful on the dubs is an overpay.
95% of the time, players who aren't an overpay are bums or severely overpayed. Good players are never on the market unless you mortgage the future for them.
If dubs fans don't want the future mortaged, they should be prepared for Steph playing his last 2 years with the likes of Kevin Huerter, Tyus Jones KCP, or Gary Harris

It's really about identifying value. You say Tyus Jones is trash? Maybe. I think he'd be a perfectly fine backup PG behind Steph. In fact, I think he'd be better running the 2nd unit than anyone we've had since Shaun Livingston (CP3 was very good last year, as well). One of us is right about Jones, one of us is wrong. That's where the good GMs make their money.
We'll see what the bulls think it will take to still make the playoffs. That FO almost never makes player for player trades so while I like the idea of Cobi White, I don't like what it'll take to trade for him or what his extension will look like if we do.
I think this offseason will be the offseason of the vet min. Very little capspace and not a lot of FAs that are worth paying for. If we can hit on our TPMLE and just 1 vet min, we won't even need to trade. We need a Center, a backup PG, and a shooter. If we can get a shooting 5, it will solve a ton of issues. Post may already be that guy, we'll just have to see. By the draft, there's a good chance we'll know what this roster will look like.

Well so far MDJ has had a knack for identifying talent in lower position picks, which is awesome, but he has been middling at identifying role players already in the nba who are good fits in the warriors system, Kyle Anderson and Lindy waters specifically.
We need a Center, a backup PG, and a shooter
The Magic and Rockets need a backup PG and shooter. The lakers need a center. How do we outbid them?
You say Tyus Jones is trash? Maybe. I think he'd be a perfectly fine backup PG behind Steph.
Hes old. He's inconsistent. He has poor defense. He's basically an older Podz but more athletic. I could see him being ok on the warriors, but its far more likely he has a massive slump like schroeder. In the end, we can just hope MDJ cooks and if he gets a shooter, he doesn't slump.
Post may already be that guy, we'll just have to see.
Im cautiously optimistic. Despite being thrown in the fire, he exceeded expectations, and assuming he doesnt have a massive flaw that teams can gameplan against next year, if he bulks up and practices a bit on rebounding and posting up, he will be serviceable.
Technically Dubs can throw a double big lineup including post, which would be deadly with steph, but the problem is that none of our bigs can make a layup or push shot for their lives.
Do you think a warriors double big lineup with post would work with someone like mark williams or claxton? What if the dubs go more ambitious and mortgage for zubac or hartenstein? Do you think OKC would consider 2 FRPs for Ihart and would the clippers accept 4 FRPS for zubac?

I think we've played a 'double big' lineup whenever dray shared the court with a center. I don't think hartenstein or zubac would work next to post in place of Dray and I'm not sure either would work next to dray.

By big I mean someone 6'9" or taller. Draymond's natural position is small ball SF/PF.
