Work around the edges - good enough to win it all with the right role players (need a new otto porter and beli)

Make 1 semi-major trade - either Butler for KD (or that level) or Dray + a few assets for an all-star or all-nba player.

Go All-In - push all the picks, young players, salary for Giannis or another top 10 player to pair with Curry for a few years.

I think you just lost your argument to yourself.....

Or did he win it?

Barring a major surprise, looks like the option the majority of the board picked will be the option taken - nibble around the edges and hope to strike gold like we did in '21 - '22

Horford, Beal, and one more vet min signing + JK at 15-20M would be the best case scenario, at this point. Removing JK from the situation, players we "could" have gotten for the vet min they signed elsewhere would be:

trent and prince but both went back to Mil
Mamu - we may regret this but he's also like 6'8 so not too upset
Huff - flash in the pan or actually good? great contract, only cost a 2nd rounder. Couldn't we have gotten him for TJD and 41?
Moe Wagner - 5M is lower than the TPMLE but he's going back to play with his brother and Orl could have paid him more
Exum - back to dallas
Minott - 2/5M is a great contract and the only one I really wish we went after, so far
Yabu - him or horford? If we don't get horford, this may hurt but he went to NY and that has a draw. It was the full TPMLE, i think
Clarkson - same as Yabu

Brook, Tyus Jones, and others cost too much. As did Ayton, though I wouldn't want him here if he paid me his salary.

Anyone I missed that people actually think we'll regret not pursuing for the vet min or, instead of Al, the TPMLE?
